A woman in her early 20’s who decides to travel to Tokyo in order to locate her older sister, whom she has not heard from in several months. Her journey to find her sister takes place primarily around Mikozuka Lab, a university-run facility where her sister supposedly works.

A student at the Mikozuka Laboratory. She is the only girl in the 2nd year master's course (M2) lab and has a friendly attitude towards Asumi.

Hayashitani Kaori 林谷 佳織

Ichinose is registered in the Doctor's course of Teito's Institute of Technology. He was the only one who treated the protagonist without hostility when she investigated Mikozuka Lab.

A student at the Mikozuka Laboratory. He is a first-year doctoral student (D1)
and is the type to devote himself to research, and he may appear a little cold to others.

Ichinose Akira 一ノ瀬　 晃

A student at the Mikozuka Laboratory. In the second year of the doctoral course (D2), he is the oldest in the lab next to Shiina, and shows a strong reaction when he sees Asumi.

Kakizaki Fukutarou 柿崎 福太郎

One of the students registered in the Doctor's course of Teito's Institute of Technology. Out of all the students, he is the one that has stayed the longest in the Mikozuka Lab, making him the oldest member.

He's rather unfriendly, and doesn't seem to want to get involved with the protagonist's business.

A student at the Mikozuka Laboratory.
He is the oldest doctoral course student (D3) . He is devoted to research and does not communicate with others at all. He is upset about Asumi's visit.

Shiina Nobuaki 椎名 信昭

The protagonist's meets Kakizaki after she leaves the Mikozuka lab during her first day of investigation. Upon seeing the protagonist, Kakizaki becomes extremely terrified and runs away from her. What the reason may have been behind his sudden departure is unknown.

Fukutaro Kakizaki 柿崎

She is the protagonist's supposed older sister. She is the original Kamijou Asumi.

It is the end of the year in December.
 Asumi has lost complete contact with her elder sister who goes to a graduate school in Tokyo.
 Worried for her sister's safety, Asumi travels alone to Tokyo to find her–
 but no trace of her could be found. Her sister wasn't in the laboratory where she had been assigned to, nor at her apartment.
 Asumi is at loss as for what to do…
 What has happened to her sister…?

 Asumi is determined to find out.
What she doesn't know, however, is that she is in imminent danger…
 and there are frightening facts awaiting her.
