Slava is the main character and narrator of the events. He's a socially maladapted neurotic who lives with his mother in a residential area. After graduating from high school, he had no contact with anyone except his family for three years. He prefers to interact with the outside world through the Internet and online games.

Observant, responsive and empathetic by nature, but due to his inability to understand the context of situations, he often finds himself in an awkward position.

He decides to get a job at "Pomidorochka" supermarket as a result of an impulsive decision made after a quarrel with his uncle.

Slava's mother, his only close person and part-time head of the family, on which the whole life is based.

A sensual but practical woman of a bourgeois mindset, who had been worried about her son's well-being all her life. As much as possible, he tries to insulate Slava from any problems, worries and, in principle, events that go beyond emotional balance. 

She broke up with her husband more than 18 years ago and has been "raising" her son alone ever since. In a certain sense, it depends on Slava no less than he depends on her.

She works as a pharmacist in a pharmacy. He spends most of his free time watching TV shows or meeting with other single friends. She has many different useful acquaintances — the merit of her close communication with the family of her brother Boldejor.

She's honest, and she's used to working hard to achieve every little thing.

Nikolai Mikhailovich is the director of "Pomidorochka" supermarket branch where Slavik is applying for a job. He describes himself as a "stern, but fatherly fair" boss. He can be overly familiar.

He respects "eternal" qualities in people, especially courage; he disdains younger generations as lost.

He is raising a daughter alone.

He loves comedy shows. He has a technical (secondary vocational) education.

He served in the ground forces.

Nikolai Mikhailovich Николай Михайлович

Sasha is an employee of the supermarket where Slava gets a job; a positive young man who works part-time at "Pomidorochka" in his spare time (and not so much) from the institute.

Despite his frivolity, he is often loved by everyone — from the most dissatisfied customer to Nikolai Mikhailovich; and because of this trait, he is constantly exploited to resolve conflicts with visitors and within the team.

He knows sign language, so he is the only one in the entire store who can communicate with Vasilisa "directly".

Sasha Саша

Sociable and willful. Slava's mother's cousin. Police captain, deputy department head, and respected by his colleagues. Fifteen years ago, he accidentally cut himself with a knife while on duty—ever since then, he tells his favorite story about his "battle wound."

Since childhood, he dreamed of becoming like Uncle Styopa the Militsioner, often getting into fights and conflicts. He believes that "the best upbringing for a man is to live like a wild man for a week." Rumor has it that Boljedor's son, Ivan, even experienced this upbringing. In reality, little Vanya only saw the forest from the windows of sanatoriums and health resorts, which he visited on state-funded vouchers.

Uncle Boljedor Дядя Больжедор

Vasilisa is an employee of "Pomidorochka" supermarket branch, where Slava gets a job. A shy girl with hearing loss. She interacts with colleagues and clients using his phone; because of her daydreaming and absent-mindedness, she often gets into trouble.

Since childhood, she has been attending events from the All—Russian Society of the Deaf. Thanks to them, she has seen many cultural places and early became imbued with a love of painting.

She strives to live a full life and tries to do everything in her power for this.

Vasilisa Василиса

Vlad is an employee of "Pomidorochka" supermarket branch, where Slava gets a job; the most mature and experienced of all the employees of the sales floor. He tries to interact with colleagues as little as possible; enjoys the respect of Nikolai Mikhailovich and the reputation of a "professional."

He avoids talking about personal topics, but once told me that he studied at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics until he was expelled for not attending.

It is also known that he successfully participated in many chess tournaments until the end of high school.

Vlad Влад

Twenty-year-old Slava is an unsociable NEET, tired of his computer-driven existence and lack of prospects. Nothing in his life promises change, but circumstances change with the unexpected arrival of relatives—before he knows it, Slava finds himself employed part-time at a nearby supermarket.

There's no time to think or doubt. Now he must either return to his dreary, indoor existence or begin a new life with "Pomidorochka supermarket team, with all its difficulties, successes, and disappointments.
