The hero of this game. Kazuya is laid-back and a little lazy, going through life with no particular goal in mind. But when his childhood friend Amane is attacked by mysterious creatures known as "Evolutions," Kazuya jumps in to save her, and so finds himself caught up in a secret war..

Shouko is like a little sister to Kazuya -- she even calls him "big brother," and she does everything she can to make him happy. An extremely talented cook, she even invents her own recipes. Like Kazuya, Shouko has been recruited to fight the Evolutions; and as the war goes on, Kazuya begins to discover why Shouko wants him to be her "big brother" so badly...

Maioka Shouko 舞岡 翔子

Kazuya's childhood friend. She may seem scatterbrained, but she's actually quite good at everything except cooking and sports. Her grandfather is a brilliant scientist, and Amane carries some of his stranger inventions with her wherever she goes. More than anything, she wants to help Kazuya, who got caught up in the battle against the Evolutions trying to protect her.

Saionji Amane 西園寺 雨音

An android created by Professor Saionji. Raki is supposed to be Amane's sister, but her real purpose is to act as a bodyguard. Because her first priority is defending others, she doesn't always look out for herself -- a tendency that worries Kazuya to no end. Raki can also activate her built-in arsenal by switching to "battle mode" and fight Evolutions along with Kazuya.
