A soft-spoken but strong-willed, normal girl from Earth who is one day mysteriously transported to the MO world of January. She learns of an ancient war between angels and demons, which ended in the deaths of both the Demon Lord and the January Magician who killed him.

While she's wandering somewhat aimlessly in the forest, she happens upon a quaint cottage, the residence of the supposedly deceased Demon Lord. He looks as equally surprised to see her, but his gaze softens and he politely invites her for tea and eventually a place to stay.

Having nowhere else to go, Jeanne decides to accept his offer. Thus begins their peaceful life together, until the truth of Jeanne's appearance and more come into play.

One of the familiars of the deceased January Magician. Charlemagne (nicknamed Charlie) was made to be the perfect mage. Behind his friendly face is a cunning tactician who has singlehandedly crushed enemy bases in the Angel-Demon War.

While Charlie is genuinely kind, he hardly hesitates to commit the morally questionable if it's for the greater good. He cares for Jeanne immensely, but focuses on doing what is ultimately good for her and the world in the long run, even if it hurts her short-term.

A straight arrow who sees the world in black and white, Fleurdelys is a knight in the purest sense. He wishes only for the health and happiness of his liege, even if it means abandoning the rest of the world.

Somewhat impatient and brash yet chivalrous, Fleurdelys is surprisingly strong mentally. Ever since the war against the Demon Lord ended hundreds of years ago with the January Magician's death and Charlie's disappearance, he's been all alone in the January world.

Once he sees Jeanne, he seems shocked, even to the brink of tears...

The supposedly deceased Demon Lord who incited the Angel-Demon war hundreds of years ago. He's actually a fallen angel who rebelled against the mechanisms of their world. Once a bright young man with a purehearted smile, he's become a quiet recluse who just wants to live in peace. Living secretly in a cottage in the woods, the rest of the world believes him to be dead.

Upon meeting Jeanne, Judas offers her a place to stay after realizing she has nowhere to go. He politely refuses to talk about himself, and simply enjoys hearing Jeanne talk about her life, no matter how mundane it is. Judas is a gracious host who takes care of everything Jeanne needs, and never restricts her when she wants to explore outside. However, he never follows her out to civilization.

The two seem to have some history Jeanne isn't aware of, but Judas seems to want to enjoy the peace they have before things change...
