## Description
Custom, a swordsman from a small village, is on a journey when he comes across a carriage being attacked. He defeats the attackers, rescuing the lovely maiden Kumiko. Kumiko was on her way to Toushin Toshi (Combat God City) to search for her father. She suspects her father is in the Combat God Mansion, residence of the annual combat tournament's champion. In order to get in, she needs to partner up with someone who can win the tournament that year, and Custom agrees that she can be his partner. They head to Combat God City to enter the tournament.

Although victory in each round of the tournament earns one gold, special medicine, and other wonderful prizes, perhaps the most interesting prize is the opponent's partner. Each participant is required to have a beautiful female partner, and if the participant loses in combat, the victor gets his or her partner to do with as he/she pleases for one night. Female warriors in the tournament can choose to act as their own partner, as do the ninja Yayoi and swordswoman Morris.

This monster-filled underground maze is located on the outskirts of Combat God City. One of the requirements to participate in the tournament is the retrieval of a Hero Crest from here. While the Hero Crests are on the first level of the labyrinth, there are several more floors and surprises waiting deeper inside.

## Characters
### Custom (カスタム)
A strong fighter in his small village, Custom finds himself with the opportunity to compete in the Toushin Tournament when he rescues Kumiko from a group of Hannies. Wanting both the chance for glory and to help Kumiko find her father, Alexander, Custom travels to Toushin City, where he quickly finds himself outmatched by the world-class competitors.

### Alexander (アレキサンダー)
Alexander is a tall man with a muscular physique, dark red hair and large, prominent eyebrows. In his youth he wore a red sleeveless karate gi, while in his later years he wears red plate mail in addition to gaining a scar across his right eye. Throughout his appearances, he wears a distinct red cape.

### Kumiko (クミコ)
She is a beautiful young woman with long pink hair and a tragic past. Her father entered the Toushin Tournament and won, but he never returned or even contacted Kumiko or her mother. Her mother became ill, and eventually died. With no family left, Kumiko set out for Toushin City to search for her father who she suspects is in the Toushin Mansion, residence of the tournament champion.

### Laseria (ラセリア)
She is Custom's level goddess. Like certain other level goddesses such as Willis, Laseria is known to strip as Custom gains levels to incentivize his progress. In addition to filling the usual level god duties of levelling up her client, she has occasionally rescued Custom from near-death, teleporting him out of dungeons and to safety at the last minute.

### Apostle Atlanta (使徒 アトランタ)
Atlanta is a mage and is skilled with many curses and spells. Her most iconic curse is the one that traps her opponent in a Mirror and divides it into several fragments. Those trapped in it cannot get out and their only hope is that someone else finds all the mirror pieces. Once they are all gathered and put together, the victim will be released immediately. 

[spoiler]Atlanta is an Apostle of Lexington first (chronologically) seen in Rance IV and later seen in every iteration of the Toushin Toshi series up to date. She's travelling all over The Continent carrying the Demonic Blood Soul of her master searching for a way to bring him back, but she's not very competent, since she's spent a few centuries with no success.[/spoiler]
