Blue skies, white clouds, a glittering ocean, and a vast beach...

Hope’s Peak Academy is holding its school trip at Jabberwock Island—a tropical island famous for being a popular vacation resort. But thanks to the actions of their wicked headmaster, the students quickly realize that they are not leaving this island any time soon. Their only chance of escape is to murder one of their classmates, and survive the class trial without getting caught.

During the frantic, high-stakes class trial, you must use the evidence you gathered during your investigation, as well your classmates’ testimonies, to literally shoot down your opponent’s arguments.

Amid the heightened suspicion, encroaching madness, and emotional exhaustion, the next evolution of the class trial is about to begin.

### Hinata Hajime (日向 創)
The game's protagonist. Hajime lost all his memories prior to arriving at Jabberwock Island, so he doesn't even remember what his Ultimate talent is. Even when he's in a surreal situation surrounded by murder and mystery, he does his best to stay positive and track down the killer so he and his classmates can survive.

[spoiler]He is actually Izuru Kamukura who is responsible from 13 killings from Hope's Peak Academy. Hajime originally had no talent, entering Hope's Peak Academy as a reserve course student, but he eventually earned the title of Ultimate Hope after participating in Project Izuru Kamukura - a brain alteration/augmentation program named after the school's founder designed to “create a genius out of the ordinary” - in which his original personality were erased.[/spoiler]

The Ultimate Cook likes to pretend he's from the city, but in reality, Teruteru's hometown is in the countryside. His passions include food and sex, and apparently he thinks he has a shot with Peko. Of course, he thinks he has a shot with Sonia too. And with some of the boys as well... At any rate, Teruteru is very happy about being stuck on an island with the other students.
When he is not making innuendos or hitting on someone, he is shown to be decently friendly and relatively upbeat. He takes great pride in his cooking, as shown by his offended reaction during the first trial when it was suggested that Teruteru's cooking had a laxative in it.

This enlivened stuffed animal can walk and talk and even run a school, as he is the self-proclaimed headmaster of Hope's Peak Academy! The white half of his body is cute and pleasant, while the black half is utterly wicked. Unlike Hajime, Izuru is a cold and emotionless person who finds everything and everyone boring. He expresses a disgust for talentless people that oppress those with talent instead of acknowledging their "true superiors". He believes that such people brought the world to a deadlock and created a world that has stopped evolving. While he lacks sympathy for others, he differs from Junko in that he neither does not seem to enjoy the sufferings of others. Izuru enjoys unpredictability, which can make him feel more emotional, but he also tends to quickly grow bored because his supernatural analytical skills and intuition cause him to quickly predict things with surprising accuracy.
