## Description
The protagonist boards the ultra-luxurious sleeper express train "Magic Arrow" running through a certain country in Eastern Europe at the beginning of the 20th century. However, they get involved in a major accident on the train and are presumed dead. Yet, they somehow leap through time and space, returning to the past, several hours before the accident occurred.

Realizing that the future accident was orchestrated by someone, the protagonist teams up with a girl possessing magical abilities to manipulate time and space. Together, they embark on a journey to uncover the culprit, prevent the accident, and seize hold of a future that is yet to unfold.

### Charlotte Juutilainen (シャルロット・ユーティライネン)
A passenger in a third-class hard seat car.
She is a daughter of a noble family living in the countryside. She loves reading children's literature. She was born as a descendant of witches who survived the Inquisition during the Renaissance, the early Middle Ages, and the 17th and 8th centuries.

Charlotte was born with strong magical power, the square of that of a normal witch, but she did not have the ability to use her magical power as magic. Since her childhood, she had foreseen accidents, natural disasters, and the illness and death of her friends in her daily life, but she had no means to protect them from such fate.
Unwanted magic, involuntary abilities.... Charlotte hates the fact that she is a witch. Charlotte's parents, at her own request, asked her aunt, the greatest witch of her blood, to seal all of their daughter's magical powers in a pendant.

The political situation between the two countries and the empire has become unstable, and popular fear of a return of the nightmare of the previous war has triggered a medieval-like witch hunt. Mel jumps on a train to protect Charlotte, who is on her way to escape to her aunt's house.
She is extremely polite, intelligent, and erudite. She is certified as a nurse so that if and when Charlotte, who is sickly and frail, is in danger, she can be treated appropriately. While Charlotte acts with sensitivity, Mel always confronts things with logic.
At the age of 13, Mel came to Charlotte's house not as a maid, but as an apprentice to train to be a bride. She's aware of the circumstances of Charlotte's magical powers.
Although her term of service has already expired, she has become so attached to Charlotte that she continues to serve as her maid to this day. She has feelings for Charlotte, who only allows herself to be loved by her outside of the family, similar to those of her own sister, and she is determined to continue to serve her until Charlotte meets a man of her dreams.

She is dressed as a man because it is more convenient for her to act as a man on this mission. It is not that she has any strange hobbies. When the nature of the task at hand dictates that it would be easier for her to move around in her female form, she reverts to her original glamorous appearance.

A close friend of Marine's and a first-class dancer. She was Val's lover. She is a very strong-willed and auspicious woman. She is the opposite of the motherly Marine, but perhaps that is why they can be best friends.
She is fed up with being forced by Francis to accompany him on his prenuptial trip. A few days ago, Marine began to speak and act as if Val were right in front of her. A passenger of the first class nocturnal car.
He is an opium trafficker employed by a public agency that is in conflict with an agency in an Oriental country.
He is on board the Magic Arrow to smuggle Persian red opium, a high-quality opium.
When the train departs on time after confirming that Akutagawa is on board, it is safe to say that Chen's goal has been achieved.

### Daladier Antelo Loukkanen (ダラディエ・アンテロ・ルーッカネン)
Passenger of the first class noontime car. 
An officer of the Imperial Intelligence Service. The principle is that "an intelligence officer should not act like an intelligence officer. Loukkanen is a one-armed man who lost his left arm and his wife and child in an accident on a previous mission.
He wears a suit and a wooden prosthetic arm and hand, but because he stands out from normal people, Luukkanen acts like a normal person. However, he sometimes acts and speaks in a way that is out of character for ordinary people, and is even comical to the casual observer.
Although he has lost one of his arms, he still retains the warmth of a human being, not a soldier, and is considerate of his subordinates. However, he is extremely indifferent to his enemies. The additional freight cars on the Magic Arrow are commanded by the Imperial Central Command, but the third-class hard seats are towed at the sole discretion of Luukkanen in the field.
This time, Luukkanen's mission is to guard the wagons to a certain point along the route and ensure the safety of the cargo without being noticed by the public. Luukkanen is not too keen on the details of this mission, as he respects the basic premise that transcends friend and foe: "Never get civilians involved".
He carries a Webley-Fosbury automatic revolver, which has been adopted as the standard armament of the Imperial Intelligence Service. The pistol was originally developed to be used with one hand, and Luukkanen has overcome the disadvantage of having only one arm. He is a good slip shooter and can fire accurately and quickly. He is also skilled in handling explosives in general.

### Edmund Biggleswark (エドマンド・ビグルスワーク)
Passenger of the first class noonday car.
He was royalty of the Duke's kingdom, but is now a city man, a marquis-turned-count, and works as a town doctor. In spite of this, he is wearing a coat of arms embroidered with the royal family's crest, a saber, a sign of knighthood, and spurred military boots, and is aboard the Magic Arrow.
Why is he silently claiming his royalty, which he himself should have renounced? Who is he claiming it for?
The day before Edmund purchased his express ticket, the Magic Arrow also had a strange configuration. The Trans-European Express is being built with the cooperation of a number of countries. At the request of one of these countries, the Empire, a luxury express train consisting of only power cars and first-class coach cars was to be coupled with a rugged freight car and a third-class hard-sided car.
The Doshisha and the Empire had a history of being embroiled in the last World War, when they became enemies of each other and engaged in warfare. The past is too recent to be called history.
Although diplomatic relations between the two countries have been restored, no formal ceasefire treaty has been signed, and in that sense, it is not the past but the present. And now, as just before the outbreak of the last war, the political situation has become unstable.
Under these circumstances, the Imperial intervention has resulted in a change in the vehicle fleet. Edmund, alone, bought a ticket on the Magic Arrow. Only the feelings behind Edmund's elegant smile can tell you what these signs mean. His hobby is calligraphy. He wears a pistol saber that has a strange and bizarre shape, a combination of a Borchardt automatic pistol and a Schweitzer saber.

### Eino Chamberlain (エイノ・チェンバレン)
A passenger in the first-class coach.
At first glance, he appears to be an ordinary mature man, but in reality, he is a trafficker for an underground organization that pimps out comfort women to brothels in the war zones.
When he tries to recruit comfort women by pretending to be a nurse in a fake "recruitment for military nurses," usually, a whore who knows the situation applies for the job, but very rarely, a girl with a clean body like Somian arrives. Of course, they may be mistaken. However, amateur girls with little experience fetch a high price as they are reserved for officers. There is no way they would turn her away.
Eino tricks these unfortunate girls and takes them to a place far from their hometowns so that they can never escape by themselves, and turns them into high-class prostitutes for trafficking.

### Francis Baldwin (フランシス・ボールドウィン)
A passenger in the first class noontime car.
Marine's fiancé, a young man who is a fledgling painter. Recently, his paintings have finally been recognized by the world and are starting to sell. He is a regular customer at Marine's bar, where his various paintings are displayed. He is a weak man, and has a completely different appearance and personality from that of Marine's late husband, and if he were dressed up as a woman, he would look like a beautiful girl.

Calhill has these qualities, and has no particular characteristics or shortcomings. However, no matter when or where you meet him, you will always remember him. He has that kind of airy atmosphere.
The first thing that comes to mind is the fact that the man is a very good friend of yours. Even the most horrifying words, when spoken by Calhill, sound as natural as water seeping into the earth.
Webley-Fosbury carries an automatic revolver. Unlike Luukkanen, he can use both arms when shooting, so he wears a bayonet and a stock that doubles as a holster to increase his accuracy.
As an intelligence officer, he is not only knowledgeable about military matters, but also about the stars in the night sky.

### Littmeister Weinberger Freiherr von Mikesch (リットマイスター・ワインバーガー・フライヘル・フォン・ミケシュ)
Conductor. President of the International Sleeping Car Company, an elderly gentleman with a calm demeanor.
He was a knight heard in the last war. He and his beloved grandchildren are on board the Magic Arrow, the maiden train of the "Trans-European Express" project, which has just been completed.
He loves his only family member, his granddaughter Milch, and is taking good care of her. Although he raised a son before, this is her first time raising a girl, so it's a little awkward...
Weinberger had a son who was to become his successor, but he and his wife were killed in an accident two years ago, leaving the young Milch behind. The son and his wife were on a trip to inspect the railroads in the beaten path, and on their way home, the airliner they were boarding crashed on level ground just as it was about to land at the airfield in their hometown where the father and his beloved daughter were picking them up. All the passengers and crew on board were killed.
The "Trans-European Express" project was, so to speak, a gift to Weinberger's son and daughter-in-law. Rittmeister means "knight captain" and Freiherr means "baron". Von means "distinguished family.
Weinberger carries a Dillinger as a self-defense pistol, perhaps out of pride as a knight or to protect his granddaughter.

Although she has given up on her dream, she has not abandoned it. She'd be lying if she said she had no regrets, but she tried to play many different characters, and now that she has a job that allows her to interact with many different people, she feels that her life is worth living.
In fact, she has been married once. She was married to an older musician, Val, whom she met when she was an actress, but he died of illness just two months after their marriage. Five years later, she finally recovered from the sorrow of bereavement and bought a ticket for a prenuptial trip with Francis, the love of her life, who is her new mutual support. However, that night, Val's ghost suddenly appears, stalks Marine, and begins to torment her about her marriage to Francis.
At first, she is surprised and thinks it is a hallucination, but the ghost shows no sign of disappearing. When Val appeared, Marlene was puzzled, angry, and reminiscing about the old days. ### Rita Knoke (リタ・クノーケ)
First class noontime car invitee. A first-class dealer. The other passengers on board the Magic Arrow have their own purposes, but Rita has been invited for a wine burger. She has a commercial purpose: to see if she can open a casino on the "Trans-European Express," which in the future will be very luxurious.
However, the Magic Arrow does not have a gambling hall. The casino is still in the planning stage, and we are not sure if the dealers will be able to deal the cards properly in mountainous areas, on rough roads, and with the vibration of the train caused by irregular speed changes. Even if they could, would the deck, field, and discarded cards collapse during the game? At Weinberger's request, Rita is in her room, silently dealing cards, continuing the game by herself, and verifying the results.
Rita is skilled in handling cards. She is not only adept at games, but also at magic tricks, fortune-telling, and all other card-based tricks, as well as counting and other forms of cheating. Although there is a rule that fortune tellers are not allowed to tell their own future, Rita has told the future of the Magic Arrow, not her own, and she has realized, albeit dimly, what has happened and what is about to happen to the train and its passengers.
While each individual comes and goes in the car with various thoughts and feelings, only Rita sits on the edge of her seat in her own room, as immobile as a mountain. Perhaps more than the witch, more than anyone else, it is Rita who anticipates all events and knows her destiny.
In Rita's own room, on the table, cards are laid out, ready for a game at any moment, and in one corner is a large cigarette case.

### Somian Ribbentrop (ソーミャン・リッベントロップ)
Passenger of the first class coach. 
She was born into a wealthy family. Her father's business has failed and the family has been separated. Somian is unable to do anything about her unfortunate situation, but she does not lament her circumstances. Her family has been broken up, but she is not bereft.
She will work to help others, save money, and one day build a small house and bring her family over. We will not be as wealthy as before, but we will live together again. With this one thought in mind, Somian is living well.
She saw a poster on a street corner that advertised for "military nurses," and was attracted by the picture of a neat and clean nurse and the type of work she could do, so she applied for the job. If she became a military nurse, the government would take care of her food, clothing, and shelter, and she would earn a salary and be able to help many people.
Now, Somian is traveling on the Magic Arrow, accompanied by Eino, the examiner, to the examination center to take the exam to become a nurse at the Red Cross Hospital. Somian boards the train almost fully clothed, but she wears around her neck as a treasured pendant a "dream catcher" amulet that her mother bought for her on a trip abroad when her family was wealthy.

### Suzie Bakoo (スージー・バクー)
A girl who's kicking.
A peddler who makes a living by selling goods on European train lines. On ordinary railroads, well-equipped dining cars do not yet exist, and at best wine, ham, and cheese are sold. However, despite the inconvenience, passengers on long-distance routes are able to enjoy a reasonably comfortable trip because of the large number of peddlers. Susie is one such peddler who, like a comical hermit crab, travels back and forth along the various routes with her many wares.
She carries portable bedding for sale on her back, a variety of bread in a net palanquin, dried meat, a butcher knife, dried fish, cherries, apricots, peanuts, and mead hanging from a sash around her waist. Although all of these foods are preserved, they are guaranteed to taste good, much better than the goods in a poor dining car. The reason for the abundance of sweet foods is to relieve the passengers' fatigue. The train is not a slow-moving train, and moves around the train actively.
She is a simple girl who worships the goddess of the mountains and treats her passengers with sincerity and the spirit of a once-in-a-lifetime encounter as a peddler. Since she has been a peddler since she was a child, she knows nothing of the feelings that girls her age experience, and apart from her business-related knowledge and emotions, she has a pure heart like a maiden. She has a dreamy side, believing that one day a wonderful prince will come for her, perhaps because of this or because of the intensity of her imagination of her natural disposition.

He was Marine's husband and an excellent musician. Val is a serious man at heart, but he is a womanizer and a jovial man who takes advantage of his title as a musician. Although he does not tell Marine, he played with quite a few women before his death, and even had his way with Anne, Marine's best friend. But it is also true that he loved Marine.
Perhaps Val understands Marine better than Marine herself. He must have understood why he had become a ghost.
Why did he have to come back from heaven? Marrying someone new would be a betrayal of her late husband... a betrayal of him, a forgetting of him. I guess that's what Marine believes. To rebuke Marine, Val is on board the Magic Arrow. And it is also for Francis.
