The orcs were an invasion decreed by rival kingdom Dolvanas.
Their mission was twofold: 1) to seize all abundant resources, and
2) to marry Istwalle's beautiful princess Ilena to King Dolum.

To spare her people, princess Ilena surrendered to her fate.
