“Exterminating the monsters that had taken up residence in the supposedly depleted magical mine”—
that was the mission entrusted to Volker.
According to the scouts’ reports, the confirmed monsters were only low-level creatures like slimes and tentacles.
The magic detected inside the magical mine was minimal, not enough to raise any alarm.
Although he was newly appointed, there was no task that a knight like Volker couldn’t handle.
Everyone believed that his decision to suppress the monsters alone, without hiring mercenaries, was by no means reckless.
