## Description

In the near future, the PhoneDroid--a device which features augmented reality--has risen in popularity in Tanegashima.
On that island, Central Tanegashima High's "Robot Research Club" is about to have their club disbanded.
Despite their predicament, Kaito Yashio, one of only two members in the Robot Club, couldn't care less and would rather play a robot fighting game.
His counterpart, the reckless club leader Akiho Senomiya, ignores Kaito as she strives to keep the club from being disbanded by completing their giant robot.

One day, for some odd reason, Kaito finds an A.R. (augmented reality) annotation titled "Kimijima Report."
It contains details about a plot involving the entire world written by a man named Ko Kimijima.

### Irei Mizuka (伊禮 瑞榎)
Misaki's best friend. She wears a HUG, a power-assisted suit for mobility after her legs were paralyzed.

[spoiler]After Kimijima was killed she discovered the body and hid it, which resulted in Misaki not being blamed for the murder. She dies when her HUG is driven berserk by the Committee of 300 and she falls off a cliff.[/spoiler]

### Kimijima Kou (君島 コウ)
The author of the Kimijima Reports, who died several years ago. It turns out that he works for the Committee of 300 and caused the Anemone-gou incident which was in fact an experiment that would have killed all the test subjects; This was stopped by Misaki who killed him. However before his death he uploaded his consciousness to the internet and lives on through Iru-o, and now plans to execute the Committee's plans by inducing a massive solar flare that will kill the majority of the population of Earth. He uses the Kimijima Reports to manipulate people, and he has Geji-nee and Misaki (who was brainwashed by him) do his bidding in the virtual and real worlds respectively. In the end he is defeated by Kai using a virus created to destroy him by Daru.

A complete muscle head, he doesn't understand scientific or difficult things. He believes there's always a way to make something happen. He gives lengthy lectures, but not in an awful way. He acts like a know-it-all and loves to offer "Pro Tips."

She founded the Tanegashima High Robotics Club and started building Gunbuild-1, which Akiho was determined to complete.

[spoiler]She is the secondary antagonist of the visual novel and anime series Robotics;Notes. Initially portrayed as a very cold person who thinks little of her sister, Misaki is ultimately revealed to have been brainwashed by Kou Kimijima, who controls her in order to accomplish what he couldn't during his lifetime.[/spoiler]

### Makise Kurisu (牧瀬 紅莉栖)
Kurisu is a neuroscience researcher at an American university, and can speak and read English well. Having had her research published in the academic journal Science at the young age of 18, Makise is extremely talented. She skipped a grade in the American school system. She does not get along with her father and has not spoken to him in many years. Okabe often just calls her assistant or one of a number of nicknames he comes up with, such as "Christina", "the Zombie", and "Celeb Sev", none of which she likes. She is considered a tsundere character; she dislikes this characterization as well, strongly objecting whenever Daru mentions it.
