After their first exorcism together, Touma gathers his resolve to assist Setsuna in any way he can, even if he cannot help in the actual battle against the demon. He is surprised at how draining the process is, despite being in decent physical shape himself. When the demon cult makes its move for Setsuna, Touma is also captured despite the pair's best efforts to escape. He is then used as a bargaining chip to coerce Setsuna into deceiving her fellow classmates to serve as fellow breeding vessels. In the bad end, he is executed by the cult when Setsuna openly disobeys orders. In the true end he succeeds in sending out an SOS to the Church HQ.
