He can show signs of brittleness if things suddenly don’t go the way he expected, and sometimes finds himself putting on a bold front. He’s the type of person to use anything at his disposal.

He’s concerned about the future of the country, and the weakening existence of the mingles.

Alfred is trying to bring together other talented workers and encouraging them to work together.
After having the chance to make conversation with him on many occasions, the protagonist begins to suspect that Alfred is looking into her.

One day, the protagonist sees him sneaking around town, disguised. Finding that strange, she follows him, only to discover his unexpected true identity...

Despite working as the representative head, he doesn't take his work seriously. Even when he's reprimanded, he slips away and does as he pleases.

Thinking she could use Ascot's charmer tendencies to her advantage, our protagonist is warned by John and Goneril that such an endeavor may be too large of a responsibility. As she spends her days unconvinced it may be an issue, Ascost suggests they pretend to be lovers, and despite pretending to understand his reasoning, she can't grasp his true intentions.

Fully aware of the risks, she takes Ascot's hand and pretends to be his lover as a way to get closer to the Queen. But as they spend more and more time together...

He always addresses people politely no matter who it is, and dislikes conflict. He has a deep respect, and is very loyal to the Queen, but he’s against the discrimination of the mingles.

He protects the anxious citizens, and keeps the peace by driving out wing hunters. To help him accomplish more, our protagonist becomes involved in aiding Eden, where the lower class lives. She uses this opportunity to become closer to him.

As she watches the always kind, always honest Edward be troubled by the country’s rampant discrimination and his conflicts with his father, she slowly begins to reveal her heart to him...

As our protagonist goes undercover, she parts ways from John, who'd always been by her side, keeping her safe. During that time, when she visits the palace again as Lilly’s retainer, she runs into John, who is anxiously undercover as a waiter at the party venue. After a brief moment of peace, she encounters a suspicious man, which leads her to learn about the turmoil that the country finds itself in.

Then as a result of a dream she had, the trust she has in John gradually begins to change...

Our protagonist feels it might be too risky to stay close to Linus, who shows no mercy to anyone with anti-Queen sentiments. However, after being impressed with her inadvertent display of self-defense, he asks her to come with him on his missions. As she spends more time with him, his regrets and conflicts towards his lineage become more clear, and she learns more about his unforgettable first love.

And when it becomes clear for our protagonist that he's going to be an unavoidable obstacle in her goal for revenge...

As she searches the residence while being influenced by his strange actions, her suspicion that he was involved in the incident from 8 years ago grows stronger.

On the other hand, as she experiences his kindness and learns about his childhood, a sense of trust also starts growing inside her. But when she suddenly learns what he's hiding...
