You'll never know before you try it! ## Characters ### Max Spaceman Specialty: Captain/Scavenger Location: Luna Station Race: Human Reserved, skeptical and harsh critic. He always likes to thoroughly think things through before taking action. If push comes to shove, he falls back on his instinct and his zero tolerance towards anything threatening him and his loved ones. His favorite weapon is his sardonic smile and sharp sarcasm. Max was among the first children to be born on the Luna Station. The product of a middle class family in a meritocracy, he learnt very little that equality was never for the poor, but for the rich or sneaky. Life on the base meant that he either learned to survive and adapt in a world of the forever favored or be caught up in the tide of the ever growing and perpetually disappointed middle. When his parents decided he should enlist in a technical school and follow in their footsteps, he understood that the time had come for him to leave and make his own way in the world. Lacking any special talents, he relied on his ability to navigate social interactions and adapt to whatever constituted the most profitable outcome. His end goal ? After finishing his contract, he moved to one of France's many suburbs where he met April's mom. Soon after, April was born, and the three of them managed to get several years of quiet and happiness. When April was five, her mother died in a fire at her workplace, sending her father into a streak of alcoholism and bar brawls that would last all through April's teenage years. The romantic side she inherited from her mother sent her on a rollercoaster of teenage relationships which ended with her running away from home, with one of her lovers, at the age of nineteen. April soon found herself alone and ashamed of her situation and decided to enlist. She went through basic training easily and became one of the best rookie recruits of the continental army. The strict conduct of the army soon became too cumbersome for her forcing her to leave and become a mercenary, running supply runs from Earth to Luna Base. April is very easy going, prone to bouts of uncontrolled laughing that ended in several close encounters with murderous glass inhabiting liquids (milk and juices). Some have called her naive, while others have called her outright silly. In truth, April is a kind-hearted, loving, romantic young woman. He spent most of his childhood trying to gain his father's approval ad acknowledgment. By the time he was eighteen, he had developed a predisposition for anything always being on the opposite of an argument, anything that would give him the chance to show off his intellect and oratory skills. His sharp wit and silver tongue got him out of all sorts of unsavory situations, making for a comfortable upbringing. However, once he was out of his parents' house, Lucas found out that talking yourself in and out of a situation could only get you so far. Unemployed, alone and scared, he set out to face the reality of the outside world. Jumping from contract to contract, he discovered his predisposition for all things mechanical. Until then, he had navigated conflicts through logic, when life landed him in an auto shop, it seemed that for once he could apply logic for a more practical resolution. Using it as an anchor for stability, he became more proficient at it, giving him the excuse he was looking for to travel the world. Witty, charming and easy-going, Lucas feels most comfortable in a crowd, capturing his audience with a tall tale or an outlandish take on a subject A bit of a narcissist, something that he developed to keep up with his older brother and younger, more adorable sister, he values his skin very much, always making sure that he's on the winning side of an argument or conflict. During this time, she discovered her talent for anything electric, transforming herself from a junk dealer into a tech wizard. After losing her mother and father in a night raid, Riley felt lost, uprooted, and abandoned. Blaming both sides for this, she took to raiding convoys and booby trapping supply lines, earning the nickname 'Striga' in the process. The anger left her hollow and as the conflict raged on with no apparent resolution; she started dedicating her knowledge by giving humanitarian aid to all the refugee camps that were popping up around the ever changing front line. This is where she met a young mechanic that wept her off her feet. Riley caries with her a veritable bleeding heart. The struggle that she faced as a child and all the losses that came with it made her incapable of feeling attached to anyone. People were something that came and went, nothing and nobody was permanent. Despite this, no matter how much she would fight against her kind nature, how deep she would bury the loving child that she once was, the sight of a sunrise or a rainbow would all but reduce her to tears. Riley had been born to love and be loved, and that would never be changed.
