## Characters
### Protagonist
You may be human, but you’ve always believed that you're monstrous.  

You wrap your hands in bandages to hide a deadly secret: a brush of your fingers twists the minds of any human you touch. You long to be free of your curse, but how far will you go to cure yourself? 

There are three backstories you can choose:

[b]The Unnamed[/b]
You were raised as an oracle in a remote temple. The priests claimed your touch bestowed enlightenment, but a visiting mage revealed your curse for what it is. Following the mage's word, you fled in search of the Senobium.  

You regularly experience unnatural premonitions that rattle your body and soul. An innate sixth sense gives you a heightened awareness of hidden supernatural presences around you.

[b]The Hound[/b]
You were raised by society’s outcasts, criminals who accepted you when nobody else would. Your partner in crime, a friend since childhood, helped you steal enough money for a cure—then betrayed you. They left you with only enough coin to travel to the Senobium, your last hope.

You have sharply honed social intuition. You can survive and even thrive in the violent underbelly of any city, using your experience with the underworld to get ahead.

[b]The Alchemist[/b]
An exiled Senobium mage took you in as a child, raising you as her apprentice. She seemed to take pity on your curse, but you discovered that she was cultivating you as a test subject. You fled to the Senobium, seeking a cure.  

You are an experienced spellcaster with encyclopedic knowledge of alchemy, spellcraft, and history. With a little observation, you can identify the subtle effects of magic.

Cloaked in the scent of smoke and blood, Ais is infamous in Eridia for being a violent, unpredictable outsider. His intimidating demeanor and easy confidence suggests he was once a seasoned leader, but now he’s alone—unless you count the ancient, eldritch being he formed a pact with.

With his borrowed, unnerving abilities, Ais seems capable of curing you…but a sick sense of dread surrounds him. He’s beginning to suspect that he may not be as in control of his powers as he thought. Can you save each other, or will he drag you down into the abyss with him?

Kuras’s search for atonement drives him to extremes—until your arrival. He could find a cure for you, but his shadowy past also puts you in mortal danger. Can you redeem him, or are you the final entry in a long list of tragedies?

Leander’s magic can’t cure you, but the sense of normalcy he offers is a luxury you’ve never experienced. He’s determined to save you and asks for nothing in return, but could he be too good to be true?

Mhin is a relative newcomer to Eridia, working as a freelance Soulless Hunter. Sullen and short-tempered, they keep everyone at arm’s length to conceal a horrible secret: a violent Monster hides within their delicate frame. They see themselves as a threat to everyone around them—and they might be right.

Like you, Mhin has come to Eridia in hopes of finding a cure, but they’ve hit a dead end. If you work together, you might be able to find answers, but can you trust someone just as desperate for salvation as you?
