## Description
Set in Akihabara in the near future, "Hello, world." is a hearty, feature-length, cyber battle-action/campus-life story about a robot boy and the girls that surround him.
Tremendous progress has been made in technical advances. Various networks have taken strongholds with each new generation. Though not nearly advanced as humans, two-legged robots are utilized in many practical areas throughout the world. Amid worldwide peace, the human race remains unchanged.

Kazuki Tomonaga is a robot made by an entity called "HIKARI" for the purpose of "GLOBAL ILLUMINATION". He's created with ingenuity as precise as that of a human being. Kazuki is commanded to research the concepts of "human emotion". Along the way he meets various girls and has exchanges with them. In their "exchanges" his "curiosity" gradually turns into "affection" and his mission becomes more intense. He gradually starts to build his own philosophy, not knowing he will be forced to make crucially important decisions in the near future.

## Characters
### Tomonaga Kazuki (友永和樹)
A robot whose mission is to collect data regarding human emotions and report them back to his superior for "Global Illumination".
The center of everything that Hello, world boils down to is –not surprisingly– Kazuki, the protagonist. His mission leads him to start off this journey, from the initial boot sequence which will excite any computer programmer, and computer-oriented thought sequence, to the endpoint where his observation subjects become people he willingly desires to protect despite his logic circuit.
The excruciating details of everyday life between the regular student life and the robotic reports to "HIKARI" will, through the meticulous writing of Shikashi, the writer, seep the subtle changes of Kazuki personifying through tiny things like the time he takes to respond vocally to others, his speech patterns becoming less formal and various neat tid-bits that one can pick up when reading.

### Aibara Natsumi (愛原 奈都美)
The main heroine, Kazuki's classmate. The story almost always comes back to her. The natural klutz but kind to everyone character, loves small animals and not good at thinking or at sports.

### Haruka (ハルカ)
At first a robot shop's companion/guide robot that does nothing but introduces pet robots to customers, but later gets rebuilt by Mika and Kazuki with the self-thinking AI. She expresses many human emotion thanks to Kazuki’s base data and opts to be his imouto.
Side note, Haruka’s got to be the most moe character in the heroine group.

Usually a gentle and refined girl, but can often speak coldly and cynically with others. You'll find out that the jealousy is strong with this one…

### Kugayama Mika (久我山 深佳)
Classmate of Kazuki. A green haired, ponytailed girl with a short physique and childish face, which often makes her to be confused as a junior high schooler. Younger sister of Wakana, Mika is a prodigy that skipped grades in school. In particular, her forte lies in computer/robot hardwares. Albeit she's bright and energetic, her selfish behavior causes other people to look down on her, thus she don't have many friends. While she's a slow runner, she's good at ball games. Loves dancing, dislikes being treated like a child, and also dislikes carrots/peas.

### Kugayama Wakana (久我山 若佳菜)
Homeroom teacher for Kazuki's class, also teaches Language Arts even though she is one of the top software engineers in the country. She drives a red GT2 sports car manually (despite that pretty much everyone else just puts the cars on autopilot by then). Normally she's quite gentle and graceful but her character takes a 180 when she grips the wheel of her car.
Older sister of Mika, for her sake Wakana tries to replace their mother who died in the past.

Kazuki's classmate, she's the athlete of the group. Kaoru is the school swim team ace who competes at national level. While at first look she seems to be the cool beauty type, she’s actually quite the trouble maker type and pranks Natsumi all the time. She can be described as being short-tempered and frank, who's rather boyish both inside and outside. Due to all that she is quite popular as a net-idol celebrity.
She has an awesome petrobot called Ni-gi.

### Asou Junko (麻生 純子)
The mysterious figure that had been observing Kazuki from afar ever since the power-out in school in the beginning. What could she possibly be up to?

She's actually [spoiler]a police officer belonging to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police's Counter-Cyberterrorism  department, alias "Cyberforce". Her hair is a long immaculate silver ponytail, and she's an adult lady possessing both really strict, but at the same time a very gentle personality. She's quite adept at martial arts and at the usage of firearms.[/spoiler]
