### Kusakabe Kiichi (草壁 喜壱)
An ordinary young man who has molestation techniques refined by extensive practice and an "eye" which can detect girls with the desire to be molested in public.

Unemployed and spending his days in sloth, his hobby is molesting females in crowded trains. He boards the trains practically every morning and looks for targets to molest.

The gears of fate for Kiichi begin to turn the day he opens a letter delivered to his apartment...

[Spoiler] Kiichi realises he's a criminal lowlife because of his hobby, however he approaches the crime as a craftsman does his trade. In addition to his eye, he's developed techniques to approach his targets undetected and to feel them up in various ways to increase their sexual arousal. In his apartment, he'll even do drills to gauge his sense of balance and will treat his hands with vaseline to ensure they are in the best possible condition. Even if he's beaten to the punch by competitors, his willingness to improve his craft does not waver as he can objective assess his competitor's approach and techniques through uploaded videos and use them for future reference. He's also extremely competitive and will not take a challenge from rivals lying down, although he knows his limits and will freely acknowledge he has plenty of room to improve to match those he acknowledges as his superiors in his chosen "profession".

Outside of public molestation, his other hobbies are visiting Ramen and curry restaurants. On his designated "off-day", he'll visit his adopted sister Shizuru at the municipal hospital. 

He and the girls he targets recognise he's handsome. Kiichi uses his good looks as a tool to better approach targets; the girls he targets will compliment him on his looks and give him leeway he would not get if he was plain or ugly.

Initially given a challenge to get his chosen target addicted to sexual pleasure within three rounds of recorded molestation, he is increasingly successful and rises up the ranking table of the Vatican feelers. For each target he successfully depraves, he is given the choice to send the target onto the ark or to keep her in society for his personal pleasure.

Eventually he is challenged by the Vatican's number one feeler to a Chikan duel. Within a designated time limit, both competitors strive to earn as much as possible from their uploaded videos. The competitor who earns more will claim the other's video revenue in its entirety. Kiichi was given a handicap advantage in this duel, but nonetheless came out credibly with a draw with neither side losing their earnings from the duel duration. 

His draw in the duel eventually earns him a commission to take down the CEO of "Black Hound", whose activities were increasingly detrimental to the Vatican's operations. His first attempt was unsuccessful as the duel had placed excessive strain on his arms leading to temporary paralysis. After emergency treatment, he was given a second chance with the Vatican's help and successfully completed his commission. As a reward, he was shown the truth about the Vatican's ark. [/Spoiler]

Her wish is to venture forth to the underground Chikan world, so once again she's working as Kiichi's right hand. The manager of the convenience store closest to Kiichi's apartment. 

[Spoiler] The number one "Feeler" in the Vatican's rankings. He has depraved more targets, earned more money from videos and sent more women onto the ark than anyone else. Kiichi does not initially realise he is the number one Feeler until they are formally introduced at the Vatican's gathering. 

In addition to his first-rate techniques, Daidou uses his tall physique to hide his targets from view in crowded trains so that he can have his way with them. Like Kiichi, he has a "nose" which can tell what state of arousal his target is experiencing which he can manipulate at will. 

Daidou uses his convenience store manager profession to complement his Chikan activities. In his words, the large variety of female customers who patronise his store hone his eye and help him choose his targets through conversation and observation. 

He is surprised at how rapidly Kiichi climbed the Vatican ranks and challenged him to a Chikan duel. Well aware of his established status, he gave Kiichi enough time to choose his targets whereas he was indiscriminate and settled for anything during the duel. Although it ended in a draw, Daidou was impressed by Kiichi's performance and was happy to challenge him again in the future, this time on equal terms. [/Spoiler]

### Kamo Isumi (賀茂 伊澄)
A young voice actress of middling popularity who has just made her debut. Her shy and introverted personality is at fault for her lack of acting jobs, however she has another persona as "Ruin", an immensely popular Vtuber.

Isumi is vexed by the gap between Ruin's persona and who she really is.

[Spoiler] Isumi joined the voice acting profession because she liked games and anime, however she learnt quickly as an intern that it is necessary for successful VAs to engage with the public as part of the job description. Having no confidence in her outward appearance, she has turned down multiple requests for public appearances which has adversely impacted her voice acting career.

She took up the Vtuber role of "Ruin" because it was guaranteed that she would not need to face the public. However, the growing popularity of her virtual persona (over a million subscribers) and the lack of recognition plus low pay because of the contract terms with Ruin's agency lead to growing frustration as Isumi has not given up on her dream of being a successful voice actress and has no intention of just anonymously voicing a virtual persona.

After talking to Isumi regarding her lack of popularity, Kiichi proposes to help Isumi out of her current predicament as he correctly assesses she is not capable of breaking out of her current situation alone. Although his proposal is outlandishly reckless, he is successful in getting Isumi out of her contract with help from the Vatican's backers. 

If Isumi is not given up to the ark, her new found confidence and innate talent as a voice actress allow her to rise up the ranks at a phenomenal pace. She gives Kiichi her social contact details and remains grateful to him for helping her pursue her true calling. Rumours of her previous identity as Ruin are also quashed with Kiichi's assistance.

She commissions Kiichi in the third game of the trilogy to find the podcaster who has once again dredged up rumours of her alter-ego Ruin as part of her standard fare of shock-jock entertainment. When Kiichi finds out the podcaster is Rimika, she asks him to be lenient to Rimika as she does not hold a grudge. Depending on Kiichi's actions, she even reconciles with Rimika as the pair have a surprising amount in common. Her popularity is even greater in the third game than it was in the second, to the point she barely has any free time to meet Kiichi when he's on the job to receive status reports.  [/Spoiler]

[Spoiler] Ujihashi's wife of over twenty years and an acupuncturist by trade. She eventually learns Kiichi's name after he joins the Vatican and will happily meet up with him for sex. The age gap between herself and her husband leads Kiichi to guess that she's in her thirties or forties, even though she doesn't look her age. 

Her acupuncture treatment relieves the paralysis and loss of strength in Kiichi's arms by increasing his natural recovery and energy reserves. 

When Kiichi is caught by the transport police assault squad in the station, she intervenes and buys him enough time to board the ark to escape. [/Spoiler]

Because he styles himself as the apex predator of the Chikan ecosystem, he won't rape women who are beneath the Chikan in the "chain".

### Ujihashi (宇治橋)
Kiichi's landlord. 

[Spoiler] Mitsuki's husband for over twenty years and a Chikan with decades of experience. He instantly realised Kiichi was engaging in public molestation almost from the minute they met. He is unaffiliated with the Vatican, but acknowledges Kiichi's talent from his videos. When the mood takes him, he can emit an aura so impressive it intimidates Kiichi, giving him motivation to improve and surpass Ujihashi.

Ujihashi instantly realises what has happened to Kiichi over the news and warns him he cannot challenge Renka with the state his arms are in. After realising Kiichi's determination, he introduces him to his wife who helps heal Kiichi's paralysed arms, albeit temporarily.

Ujihashi is proud of his wife and enjoys seeing her sexually satisfied by other men. Because Kiichi is so good at getting his wife to climax through his Chikan techniques, he is happy to let Kiichi have his way with her to assist with the treatment. He's also impressed Kiichi was able to satisfy his wife just as well as him. [/Spoiler]
