Yoshifumi Akiyama is a part-time cram school tutor who has abandoned his dream of becoming a school teacher.

One day on his way home, he is approached by a suspicious woman who wants to "scout" him as a private tutor.

The pay is extraordinary. Struggling to repay his student loans, Yoshifumi decides to take the job.

Following the address he was given, he arrives at a mysterious facility called the "Integrated Life Sciences Research Center."

Led into a private room, Yoshifumi meets a young girl named Hamal.

Before long, he discovers a shocking truth about Hamal and is forced to make a life-altering decision.
