## Description
The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe) is a lore-rich and choice-driven romantic visual novel inspired by Irish mythology. Play as an Irish tenant farmer from the mid-19th century, whose path becomes inexplicably entwined with fairy affairs after getting robbed by the roadside and lured into the mythic and war-torn world of Tír na nÓg: A once unified land, now divided into the Seelie and Unseelie Courts. Will you escape with your stolen belongings? Or does fate have something else in mind?

### Aífe Ealabhàn
There are many things that could be said of Aífe Ealabhàn, Queen of the Seelie Court, and not all of them are especially good: Flirtatious, dramatic, and a primadonna to the core, the Queen is often perceived as vain and unserious, concerned only with matters of beauty, decadence, and maintaining the status quo.

To tell you the truth, however... despite her silly and sometimes vapid disposition, the Queen has a tenuous relationship with many in her court—particularly the loyalists of the old regimen, whose own figurehead still roams the palace halls. They all love Aífe's flair for fashion and find her bombastic antics an entertaining spectacle, but her reign and rise to power has been cloaked in mystery, murder, and so-called divine intervention from the very start. Given this, one must begin to wonder... is she truly as she presents herself to be, or is it a facade to mask something more sinister?

Perhaps the truth is somewhere in the middle. Then again, considering the state of the Unseelie Court... maybe there's another reason Kings are dropping like flies.

### Flannán mac Lugh
Flannán mac Lugh, the newly crowned King of the Unseelie Court, is said to be the spitting image of his father, Lugaid—a traitorous, heretical madman to the Seelie, but a rebel hero and god among men to his people. No matter where your loyalties lie, though, there is a sense of apprehension in respect to Flannán's sudden ascension to the throne. After all, though Lugaid was venerated for his uprising against the hegemonic tyranny of the noble houses, the people of Tír na nÓg are weary of war. Alas, with the crowning of a younger King—known to be brash and temperamental, and tasked with upholding the legacy of his legendary father—some fear that the tentative peace between the Courts grows more fragile by the day.

With that said, Flannán is himself an elusive figure, with more than a few mysteries to his past. For one thing, following the war, it is said that he spent a great deal of time away from the Unseelie's new capital... but some suggest that it was not by his choice. Yet, if it is true that the young prince was once an exile, one must wonder why.

### Keagan Máistirúin
Little is known of Keagan's past—almost certainly by his own design—but what is known is that he distinguished himself during the War of the Courts as someone with a knack for intrigue and espionage. Due to this talent, he quickly scaled the ranks of the Seelie Court until he reached his current position: Máistirúin, or Master of Secrets. With his keen senses and control of the will-o-wisps, little happens in Tír na nÓg without his knowledge. If you ever need to find him, you should probably check next to the Queen of the Seelie Court, Aífe, as they are close confidants.

Keagan's position at court likewise means he is at the centre of numerous rumours. Some whisper that he may have been involved in Aífe's crowning, while others allude to a past connection with a Seelie noble that didn't end well. Regardless, there is more beneath the surface of this mysterious man than first meets the eye. Do you dare dive deeper?

### Maeve Troiduair
Maeve came from humble beginnings, having grown up an urchin in the midst of a brutal war, but she would come to make a name for herself in the province of Murias for not only her fighting prowess, but how she chose to use it: Not for glory, nor personal gain, but for the little people left behind in the chaos of war. Whether she is retrieving stolen goods from bandits or helping the King of the Unseelie keep the promises his court made to the people, Maeve is well known among the peasantry as a protector of those who cannot protect themselves; beloved for her kindness, fortitude, and willingness to jump into the fray.

However... there is a murkier side to her reputation as well. It is no secret that Maeve played a huge part in turning the side of the final confrontation between the Seelie and the Unseelie, and the results were... bloody. Some claim that in the fight's final hours, Maeve sprouted wings and descended upon the field with such fury that none who stood in her path stood for long. Perhaps this is why some call her the Morrigan.

### Robin Goodfellow
Robin Goodfellow (neither good nor a fellow) is an ever constant, if perplexing presence in the Unseelie Court. Though the Unseelie are well known for the unusual curiosities among their ranks, Robin stands unique for the fact they are a relative newcomer, having played no part in the War of the Courts. Rather, they instead imposed themselves upon the lot, and no one has yet managed to get rid of them. Still, it would be untrue to state that the shapeshifting fool is wholly unwelcome. In fact, it is often said that the only reason the fearsome King Lugaid never skinned the fur from Robin's back is because they were the only one to ever make the rebel King laugh, while daring to insult him to his face, no less.

Still, despite their joviality and devil-may-care attitude, Robin is capable of far more than most are willing to acknowledge. Shapeshifting, teleportation, and a silver tongue... These are not common gifts among the Tuatha Dé, nor even the Druids. To Goodfellow, though, they are as effortless as breathing... which does make one wonder. Who, or what exactly, is Robin Goodfellow?

### Shae Féarglas
Shae was the child of loyalist servants who attended to the royal family of Tír na nÓg, and were expected to follow the same path when they came of age. Yet, life has a funny way of turning duty on its head. During the War of the Courts, Shae's family served at the Crown Princess' stronghold, and were present during the fateful attack that led to the princess vanishing without a trace. Shae was the last person to see her, and indeed even helped her escape the stronghold during the fray, but sadly the two unlikely friends were separated. While the Seelie Court believed the princess to be dead, Shae decided to enlist as a soldier in hopes of finding her behind enemy lines.

These days, Shae now lives a quiet life of isolation as a guard, but secretly they have never ceased in their search for the Lost Seelie Princess, even in the face of ridicule... and perhaps even their own peril. After all, many in the Seelie Court have gotten used to the new, post-war administration, and don't take kindly to Shae's propensity for stirring up long dead trouble.
