Obtaining a magic pendant that allows her to transform into the superhero of her dreams, Aster turns her life into the action movie she's always dreamed of. She chases after her charmingly sly rival Virs, a phantom thief. However, the beautiful, snowy world of December has much more darkness and moral ambiguity than she is prepared for. Now that she's grown up, she's an energetic hero who's ready to help people in need. She's friendly and tries to be considerate (unfortunately she's dense and a little dumb/impulsive), but isn't afraid of getting into an argument with people that tick her off. The magic Amelis core (Asteroid) in her legs have made her strong, and she can leap distances with such ease that it's almost like she's flying. She still can't do a push up, though. However, it seems that she won't be able to keep the Amelis core forever because of certain reasons. Once it's gone, she won't be able to walk anymore just like when she was a child. So now, she's trying to make the most out of her time by going on as many adventures as possible, and helping everyone she can. The Peacemakers will do anything from overthrowing (and killing) tyrants to helping you get your cat down from a tree. They are here to serve at the cost of their own lives, as they view it as giving their once-empty lives purpose. The Peacemakers are often smiles on the outside, and are always gentle to the less fortunate. But all the members have their dark pasts, becoming Peacemakers to find meaning in their lives. Nieffel is no different. Becoming a Peacemaker is an extremely strict affair, and all the members take their roles very seriously in order to keep the Peacemaker name trustworthy. Anyone caught imitating a Peacemaker for evil deeds will be caught, hunted down, and even tortured by the real ones. Though initially polite and smiling to everyone he meets, Nieffel becomes outwardly sarcastic and nonchalant if you keep talking to him. Because of this, Nieffel and Aster end up bickering often. Mid-arguments he'll do things like squish her face so she can't talk back, or pat her head like he's bouncing a basketball to make fun of her. Nieffel is actually trying to keep his distance, but ends up getting secretly attached to her, much to his chagrin. Despite everything, he will not ignore a person who truly needs help. He becomes surprisingly gentle to Aster whenever she's having a tough time, and will quietly (and somewhat awkwardly) try to comfort her by giving her things she likes, or draping his cloak on her shoulders. Nieffel is surprised when he learns that the magic that allows Aster to walk will likely end soon, and he promises her that he'll find a way to make it permanent. Always having a pleasant attitude and often seen with a friendly smile on his face, Shuiren is well-liked by most people. However, his smiles are almost always insincere, and the only person he really cares about is his childhood friend, Aster. She saved his life when he was younger, and so swore to stay loyal to her forever. When Aster was worried about supporting herself in the future because of her disability, Shuiren promised to take care of her and marry her so she wouldn't have to worry about anything. When Shuiren grew up, he secretly did assassination jobs in order to pay for Aster's medical bills. He doesn't feel any guilt about killing others, but doesn't want Aster to find out, since he knows she'd never approve. Shuiren is trying to find a way to permanently cure Aster of her disability, and doesn't trust that the Amelis magic that's letting her walk right now will last her forever. They always take on the title of "Virs," so this one is Virs the 10th. He often takes advantage of monster attacks on the city to sneak into corrupted estates, bringing injustices to light. Despite all the charity he does, Virs prioritizes himself above all else, often leaving buildings in shambles after heists. After gaining the power to transform, Aster often scuffles with him, unsuccessfully trying to capture him. Virs is amused by her efforts and ends up looking forward to the times when they meet, even though she's trying to kick his face in.
