Her current job as a waitress at a diner is grueling in its long hours under a thankless, demanding boss. Barely staying afloat, April trudges on despite having no time for a social life, nor an adequate housekeeping routine. Before this paltry situation, April's childhood friend and high school BFF, Stacy, was an intimate part of her life. Always the far more popular and favored of the two, Stacy decided after graduation to move from Foxwoods to pursue a career in the much larger capital city. This eventually strained her relationship with April as communication between them nearly dried up. But after nearly five years and immense success, Stacy has returned to Foxwoods to visit her family as well as April, who has made nothing of herself since graduation. Now, a humble April must face an uncomfortable reunion with her former best friend who has amassed wealth on many levels. Yet Stacy has some issues of her own. What can they say to each other? And what, if any, feelings do they have for one another after so long? ## Characters ### April April resides in the small town of Foxwoods where she's lived for her entire life. During her teen years, she was best friends with Stacy as the pair shared a very strong bond. After high school graduation, Stacy opted to move to a larger city. April remained in Foxwoods and her parents eventually bought her a small house. From then on, she moved from one menial job to the next while communicating with Stacy less and less, nearly devoid of any social contact outside of work. Landing a job as a waitress, April was worked exhaustively under her boss, Linda. The long hours and harsh demands of Linda cumulatively cause April to lash out in anger and destructively quit her job. With very little money left and slim prospects, April ponders her uncertain future just as she learns that Stacy, now successful in her life, has come back to town to visit. With such a large social and financial divide between them, a humble April must tackle the uncomfortable task of reuniting with her former best friend who has blossomed into a celebratory icon.
