## Description
“Love can so easily turn people into liars.”

On a hill overlooking the sea is Minatocho’s Aoba Dai-ichi High School.
One night, 2nd year student, Tachibana Kaoru is completely heartbroken by her middle school homeroom teacher, Shimotsuki Mirei.
That scene is also seen by Minagi Shiori, a model student who is also in Kaoru’s class.
In state of despondence, Kaoru opens up to Shiori about her past with Mirei.
After listening intently to Kaoru’s story, Shiori, with a mysterious air about her, poses a question.

“Instead of forgetting someone you cared about… do you think it’s possible to simply overwrite those memories with different ones?”
“I’m not sure if it’s truly possible or not, but I might have to try something like that if I’m going to get over her.”

With that, Shiori suddenly makes a surprising request to Kaoru:

“I need you to help me forget about my older brother.”

It is a request to overwrite the memories of her older brother by going through a tour of her past memories.
Shiori has always wanted to live up to the standard of excellence that her older brother embodied,
but as she held a career counseling sheet in her hand, she realizes that she no longer made decisions for herself.

“Sure, okay. But how?”

Kaoru is enthusiastic about this “tour of memories” that she will go on with Shiori.
She too wants to forget about her teacher, who was her first crush.

Their relationship is then discovered by Inohara Riku, a fellow classmate who also harbors feelings for Shiori.
And so the curtain rises on this sometimes slapstick fun as well as poignant love story.

## Characters
### Tachibana Kaoru (橘 薫)
The protagonist of this story. A second-year student at Aoba First Municipal High School.
She has an elusive personality, but at heart she is honest and straightforward.
She often says random things that leave those around her exasperated, but she's also a bit of a scatterbrain, and it's frequently hard to tell if she's serious or joking.

She has a superficial interest in everything, and her hobbies are wide-ranging and shallow, including fashion, cosmetics, stuffed animals, and smartphone games.

Kaoru's feelings for [url=/c107508]Shimotsuki Mirei[/url], her first love, are special. Therefore, although she is often confessed to by both boys and girls at school, she has never accepted a confession and doesn't even consider them.
Mirei was Kaoru's homeroom teacher in middle school. Kaoru fell in love with Mirei after a runaway incident that occurred when she was in her third year of middle school.
Although they initially cut off contact, after reuniting in high school, she and Mirei have continued their unnamed relationship, occasionally going on dates together.

However, she has an abnormal love for donuts, and when faced with donuts, she completely transforms and loses all sense of normalcy.

She is good at all kinds of sports and is a member of the swimming club. While it's not a top-tier team, she is dedicated to her club activities.
Although she doesn't show it often, she is a hard worker when it comes to studying, and her grades are among the top.

She is confused by the fact that Kaoru and Shiori became close friends after a certain incident, and she is always worried about the two of them.
She harbors romantic feelings for Shiori that go beyond friendship, but she has been unable to confess her feelings for several years.

Although she was in the same class as Kaoru, she had hardly ever spoken to her. However, after a certain incident, they began to build a friendship, and she started to show an unexpected side of herself in front of Kaoru.

She tries to follow the same career path as her accomplished older brother and imitates his interests. She even goes so far as to declare to herself that "life has no value unless I become like my brother," which is almost to the point of being obsessive.

She adores a character named "Ushimocha," and her eyes light up whenever Ushimocha is mentioned.

### Shimotsuki Mirei (霜月 深玲)

Following a runaway incident that occurred when Kaoru was in her third year of junior high school, she resigned from her job at a private junior and senior high school. After a period of unemployment, she now works as an instructor at an art school run by an acquaintance.
They reconnected after Kaoru entered high school, and although Kaoru still calls her "Sensei," their relationship remains somewhere between friends and lovers.

### Asahi Kayo (朝日 花世)

This is her third year working at Aoba High School. Perhaps because of her somewhat laid-back and slightly clumsy personality, she's not just close to the students, but often gets teased by them.

One of her goals is to be a proper teacher, and her desire to be someone students can rely on and confide in is evident in her words and actions, which may be one of the reasons she gets teased.
However, when students actually seek her advice, she faces them directly and does everything she can to help, earning her the deep trust of some of them.

She likes alcohol and isn't particularly weak to it, but she tends to misjudge her pace. It seems she interacts with [url=/c107508]Mirei[/url] through alcohol.

### Shishimai Rinka (獅子舞 凛火)
She currently runs a small café named Lion House in place of her grandmother, who returned to the countryside temporarily to take care of a relative. The blonde streaks in her hair are natural, but have caused her peers to label her as a delinquent. To that effect, she rarely speaks to anyone there other than her friends Miharu, Mao and Naomi. This fact doesn't particularly bother her however, especially as she's not one for keeping up with trends and adjusting her attitude to those around her. Ironically she's also seen as cool and aloof thanks to that, when in reality she cares for her friends deeply. 

She has no particular hobbies to speak of, though she does enjoy shopping and reading shoujo manga. Black coffee is a favorite of hers, though she dislikes anything either too bitter or too sweet. 

One day while returning home with Naomi, she dies while shielding Naomi from an explosion, becoming a participant in Divine Selection in the process. Her memory is somewhat fuzzy however, possibly due the shock of being caught up in the explosion, leading her to participate while not knowing both her cause of death and her regret.
