## Description
In the middle of a lake, on an isolated island, lies the **Haven**.

Made up of several young women and their sole, elderly leader, the Haven is a community that shelters those who are pure of heart and mind. 

In order to protect the Haven from the corruption outside of the island, the community hosts **Apologia Assemblies**: mandatory gatherings where misdeeds are discussed - and given appropriate punishments.

One member, **Magda**, has complicated feelings about the Haven. She loves living there, but hates its punishments. And so, after one particularly stressful Assembly, Magda wanders through the nearby woods to clear her mind.

Then, she discovers a mysterious building, and her curiosity stirs...

Magda's roommate and one of her few friends. Grace is very loyal to the Haven's rules but also compassionate towards other people.

[spoiler]She saved Magda by speaking up for her during Magda's Apologia Assembly, but is now very watchful for any rulebreaking on Magda's part.[/spoiler]

While deeply fearful of being punished by the Haven for any sort of wrongdoing, she cannot suppress her impulsive curiosity and wanders outside the community on walks. On one such walk she stumbles upon one of the Haven's secrets.

[spoiler]Magda was once part of the Writing Sect but was forbidden from ever writing again after being punished for a yet-unrevealed transgression.

After meeting the captive Nils she begins to have violent and sexual intrusive thoughts.[/spoiler]
