## Description
The story revolves around a Japanese sophomore named Kotaro Makimura. As the school year ends and summer vacation approaches, he decides to admit his feelings to his crush, the beautiful Kaho Serizawa. As hopeless as the situation looks to his best friends Ai and Takeshi, he is determined to make Kaho his girlfriend by the end of summer vacation. However, on his way home, he has a collision with a mysterious stranger, and ends up getting covered in a strange multi-colored powder. When he wakes up the next day, he finds himself waking up on September 1st - the first day of the next school year. He also learns that Kaho, who had been his girlfriend, had died in a car accident. Eventually, Kotaro discovers that he has begun day-dropping, in which he skips days, and goes back and forth in time through different days of the summer vacation. With the help of Ligene the Time Patroller (also translated as Lee Jane), Kotaro must win Kaho's heart and prevent her tragic death before he runs out of time.

He's had a crush on Kaho since he saw her years before in a play, and he's the vice president of the almost non-existent boxing club. Although he appears to most of his peers as unrefined and lazy, he's really a kind and sensitive person.

Mana appears a bit on the young side, but never laughs or wastes a word. She is stoic and has an aura that makes her hard to approach.

Mana loves the water as she likes to get in it and let herself go. She also has a bit of a romantic streak and is a fan of fairytales.

During time travels, the protagonist discovers that she suffers a major injury that threatens her diving career in the future. This bothers you so you try to approach the unapproachable Mana....but to what end?

### Ligene (リージェン)
Ligene is a mysterious girl that appeared from nowhere one day in front of Koutarou. She is the resident joker and always having fun, if a tad on the irresponsible side personality-wise. More to the point, she might not be the most suitable for the role of TP (time patroller).

Her real name is a mouthful so we make do with "Lin.”
She's got a style that comes across as a bit bizarre, but a closer look and it's clear that she is one beautiful girl.
One day before summer break, Lin bumps into Koutarou while in a strange outfit.
That is when the time traveling begins.

### Senou Ai (瀬能 あい)
Ai loves watching sports. However, she is an absolute klutz and might as well have two left feet.
In a footrace she is slower than a snail going uphill.
At school she is often subject to dizzy spells and a frequent visitor to the nurse's office.

She believes and trusts everyone. The flipside of this is that she is easily deceived.
She puts 110 percent into everything she does, tackling challenges in a serious, no nonsense manner.
This girl doesn't know how to take shortcuts.

0n the plus side she is innocent.
On the other hand, she is gullible and abused by her so-called friends.
Because she lost her mom at a young age, she is capable around the house.
Her family runs a shop that sells fish.
Ai is full of emotion.
Where Ai is there is sure to be lots of laughter, lots of anger and lots of tears.

Great grades and straight as an arrow. With a gentle personality and graceful way of carrying herself, she is popular with older and younger students and even among students of the same sex. She lives in a spectacular mansion on a hill with her father, a famed painter. Born with a silver spoon in her mouth and a bit of a princess, she is not much in the kitchen or one for housework.

Before summer vacation, Kaho was out of Koutarou's league and he was just one of Kaho's many admirers. However, through time travel, Koutarou leams that in the near future the two will fall in love and of her tragic death as well.

### Yanagihara Tomomi (柳原 朋美)
This teacher is affectionately known as "Tomo-chan."
Tomomi is wont to play the role of mad scientist, but she has a habit of throwing herself into the study of supernatural phenomenon in an annoying way. She is a regular walking-dictionary when it comes to Mystery Animal and the supernatural.

Tomomi's classes never fail to stray off topic. Clad in a white lab gown, sporting ridiculously thick glasses and a just-woke-up hairdo, she is a hit with students. However, she is not in the least bit attractive, but with a little make-up she can be a knockout. But she is a bit on the short side.

It is Tomomi that names the phenomenon experienced by the protagonist "Daydrop". Tomomi is a reliable source of advice for Koutarou as he hops around time.
