## Description
Before the year 0 AD United Space Age, humans dotted parts of the vast universe and established independent nations.
Since sailing to other star regions requires more than several hundred years, it was practically impossible to establish contact with other nations.

In the year 0 AD United Space Age, the Eris Empire advanced their research on "strange spaces within star regions", and discovered that you can travel to other star regions in an instant using such spaces.
Such spaces named "warp gates" united the various star regions that have been so far isolated from each other.
Thus began the Age of Discovery.

Human beings who aspired to build nations spanning multiple star regions gradually repainted the star regions network map - the world map, through repeated aggression and conquest, submission and annihilation.

It's 939 AD United Space Age.
The leaders of three great nations are planning to start wars due to various reasons.
The biggest nation in the world, Eris Empire's council passes the world management plan that says Eris should suppress and dominate the chaotic world.
The oldest nation in the world, the Japanese Empire, tired out from the drawn-out war with the Chinese Empire, is being targeted by great nations.
A grand flame of war that will consume the whole world has been lit.

## Characters
### Tougou Tsuyoshi (東郷 毅)
Protagonist of the main story of Daiteikoku.

Minister of Imperial Japanese Navy. He is an Admiral known for high winning-percentage—the result of his unorthodox fleet strategy. Tougou was appointed, by the Empress, after the previous minister died in the war against the Chinese Empire. Many ships and veteran admirals were lost in the war, so he must recruit new admirals and rebuild the Navy.

Two years ago, his Gamerican wife died in a spaceship accident, and he is currently living with his only daughter, Maki; everybody around him acknowledges his strong attachment to his daughter. He is easy-going, and carefree. However, he has a strong desire to build a peaceful, safe world for his daughter to live in.

Tougou was a playboy before he was married. After his wife's death, he has returned to the playboy lifestyle, and maintains several dozens of relationships with women. He is very competent with his job, is very sensitive/understanding to women, and is skilled in lovemaking.

Due to this, he is very popular with ladies. However, he does not wish for his women to live unhappy. He believes "I want to make as many woman as possible happy. That's why I date them all."

His attitude is well-known by the people around him, and the women in relationship with him acknowledge the fact they cannot keep him for themselves.

### Shibagami (柴神)
The God of the Japanese Empire. He is not a "concept" but an actual living being.

By virtue of being immortal, he has been the one to choose and appoint the Japanese Emperor since thousands of years ago. Since his judgment regarding humans is always spot on, his choices have always been proven right and the Japanese Empire never had a foolish Emperor in his long history.

He doesn't involve himself in politics after having appointed the Emperor, preferring to watch over the Emperor's subjects lives. He fights on the frontlines whenever Japan is attacked by foreign enemies, since his heroic exploits are written about on every history record he is well known and loved by the Japanese people.
