## Description
This is a standalone version of the "New Episode" chapter added in 9-nine- Complete Edition (r74265). The new episode ties up the loose ends from the previous 4 chapters, and contains after stories for each heroine (the scenario part totals about 230kb). It contains 10 CGs.

## Characters
### Niimi Kakeru (新海 翔)
"Man, what the heck am I gonna do with this thing?"

The protagonist of the story and a second year at Hakusen Academy.
Though he can be a bit blunt, Niimi is a reliable young man with a strong sense of responsibility.
After Kujo explained the Artifacts to him, he joined her on a mission to get to the bottom of the mysterious petrification incidents plaguing the town.
According to Sophitia, he seems to be an Artifact user himself, but he is entirely unaware of it, and his abilities are unknown.

In the Sorairo world line, he is given the flame-manipulating Artifact from Sophitia to fight Ghost and later Magic Eye of Petrification and the ability to summon Ghost in the Haruiro world line.

It is implied that his Artifact is the fabled Overlord. It enables him to shift his existence from one branch of a world line to another, with his memories of the previous branch intact, allowing him to continuously avoid death. He can also extract bits of information from another version of himself, though this ability initially appeared to be involuntary.

Kakeru is given the Artifact that allows him to summon Lena and master it fully. It is later revealed that this is due to his innate ability to draw out Artifacts' potential to their maximum, which Sophie dubs as Overdrive.  

Kakeru later discovered that his artifact was not Overlord but a fragment of the Eye of the World. This enables him to "open a door" and make contact with different world line branches, allowing him to inherit both memories and Artifact powers from them.

### Kousaka Haruka (香坂 春風)

Timid and docile, Kosaka is a shrinking violet, a quiet beauty who manages to stay in the background at her school... at least until something sparks a boom in her desirability, and every boy around suddenly can’t get enough of waiting on her hand and foot.

She becomes interested in the protagonist after he shows some concern for her, but this makes Kujo, who has been growing closer to the protagonist, feel angry and jealous.

The details of her ability are unknown, and she becomes a person of interest in the case after Kujou and the protagonist remark on her willingness to use her powers on others without hesitation.

### Kujou Miyako (九條 都)

[url=/c60020]Kakeru's[/url] classmate. Kujo is the heir apparent to a massive commercial conglomeration, not to mention a beautiful, well-mannered girl. Though she tends to be serious and straitlaced, she has flashes of humor. Between her earnest kindness and good looks, she's popular among both boys and girls.

Despite her family's affluence, she's quite the penny pincher and considers going out for fast food to be splurging. She works part-time at the café her grandfather owns, trying to build real-life experience and save money.

Kujo is a straight-A student, but she thinks of herself as hard-headed, so she values the protagonist's flexible mindset. Soon enough, she comes to rely on him, and it isn't long before she opens up and shows him her warmer side.

Having awakened to supernatural powers when she obtained a mysterious piece of jewelry, an Artifact, she's driven by her strong sense of justice to solve the mysteries around town.

### Niimi Sora (新海 天)

Sora spends most of her spare time hanging out at the protagonist's apartment, often threatening to move in and sometimes making him treat her to dinner. She has a selfish side, but her dedication to her brother is undeniable. She enjoys teasing Miyako for her overly-serious demeanor and occasional slip-ups.

When Sora awakens to her powers, she begins cooperating with Miyako and her brother on the investigation.

[spoiler]An alternate version of Kakeru from a distant world.

Implied to be the player and is the true owner of Overload. Is able to aid Kakeru through Overload due to being an alternate version of him, and is regarded by Sophitia as the ninth and final Artifact User required to defeat Iris. 

He is first introduced/revealed to have existed in Haruiro and plays a major role in defeating Iris in Yukiiro. 

Kakeru becomes aware of Nine near the end of Yukiiro, and calls him 相棒/Partner. [/spoiler]

Kakeru's best friend.

Yoichi is a slender boy with a pretty face, and he leaves a positive impression as long as he keeps his mouth shut. Unfortunately, as soon as he starts talking, his horndog nature becomes all too apparent. He likes to think his purpose in life is is to provide maximum comic relief, which doesn't do his popularity any favors.

A natural athlete with good reflexes, he could make something of himself if he could just put in the effort, but that would be too much of a hassle, so he doesn't consider sports anything more than a pastime.

[spoiler]He is the actual possessor of the Magic Eye that can petrify people, and is the main culprit behind the petrification incident Kakeru was investigating into.
Along with the Magic Eye, he possesses three other Artifacts that allow him to teleport instantaneously, shoot spears that directly injure a person's soul, and summon a clone of himself - which subsequently is revealed to be Ghost.  He appears to feel no guilt over his use of Artifacts to kill people and appears to be related or contracted to Iris in some form. [/spoiler]

Ms. Naruse can't be bothered to worry about the little things. She's a caring teacher on the surface, but her facade tends to crumble around the protagonist, an old family friend who she tends to complain to when she feels exasperated by her work.

Her family has maintained the Shrine of the White Serpent's Relic for generations, so she can often be found there on holidays, working as a shrine maiden.

An unknown life form who sought out the protagonist.

Sophie looks like a creepy plushie, but she insists that it’s only her temporary form while in the protagonist's world and that she's a beautiful girl.

She claims to be a member of Sephirot, an organization that manages the Artifacts and says she was sent to the protagonist's world to begin collecting the lost Artifacts which escaped after the destruction of the shrine’s sacred relic.
On discovering that Kakeru and Miyako are Users, she enlists their help to gather the Artifacts and restore normalcy to the world.

[spoiler]A version of Iris that was successful in fending off her insanity and path to ruin due to her Artifacts, she established the organization Sephirot to manage the use of Artifacts and to prevent any loss of life due to their use. She subsequently changes her name to Sophitia, believing it to be a more suitable name for someone who was so unlike the holy maiden that Kakeru's world believes her to be. 

Her creepy plushie body is a phantom existence created by an Artifact to make contact with Miyako, Kakeru, and the others. Notably, she is assuming direct control of her phantom, unlike the usual use of such an ability that results in existences like Ghost. 

She is aware of Nine's existence and has been attempting to contact them in a bid to stop her evil counterpart.[/spoiler]
