## Characters
### MSPA Reader
The player character of Hiveswap Friendsim and Pesterquest.

A nondescript being with a craving for friendship. Though they are visually similar to a Carapacian, they are described as having a human-like constitution.

### Aradia Megido
A troll first seen in Homestuck, the player befriends Aradia in Volume 8 of Pesterquest alongside Tavros.

Aradia is a mysterious troll with an interest in bones and death.  She seems to know more than she initially lets on.

### Dave Strider

Dave is dedicated to the art of irony and works to maintain the image of himself as a "cool kid".

### Dirk Strider
Introduced in Act 6 of Homestuck, Dirk is the final friend the player makes in Volume 14 of Pesterquest.

A friend of Jane, Jake, and Roxy, Dirk is extremely nonchalant about meeting the player and seems ready to dive right into making friends with them. He's extremely confident and very guarded, but even he has his weak points.

[spoiler]Dirk is an alternate universe version of Dave's Bro - who, unbeknownst to Dave, is actually his biological father.[/spoiler]

### Equius Zahhak

Equius is something of a masochist. He is strict on the adherence to Alternia's hemospectrum, but he also seems to enjoy being told what to do. His home is filled with robots broken from fights.

Making his Pesterquest debut in Volume 10 alongside Feferi, Eridan was first met in Homestuck.

Because of his rather high position on the hemospectrum, Eridan is rather full of himself, and is very prone to driving people away, and this bothers him more than he usually cares to admit.

The last of the trolls befriended in Pesterquest, Feferi makes her debut in Volume 10 alongside Eridan.

As the only fuchsia-blooded troll, Feferi is the heiress to the Alternia throne, and has some big plans to change the way trollkind operates. A bubbly and energetic girl, Feferi is nevertheless lonely and wants to make new friends.

Despite ranking highly on the hemospectrum, Gamzee is a very relaxed individual who enjoys pies made of sopor slime and talking about miracles.

An adventurous young man with an old-fashioned way of speaking, Jake lives alone on an island filled with hostile monsters. He's close friends with Jane, Roxy, and Dirk.

[spoiler]Though he refers to Jade as his grandmother, Jake is actually an alternate universe version of Jade's grandfather - who, unbeknownst to Jade is actually her biological father.[/spoiler]

A seemingly naive boy who lives with his father. John has a penchant for pranks and enjoys bad movies, Con Air in particular.

[spoiler]An alternate universe version of John is seen in Volume 11 as the taxidermied corpse of Jane's grandfather.[/spoiler]

He is an Ultimate Self, an amalgamation of every version of Dirk from across paradox space.
