### Quinn Kelly
Quinn Kelly is one of the college students who won a contest to spend a week at La Huerta. She is one of Your Character's love interests, and first appears in Book 1, Chapter 1.

Quinn is shown to be very open-minded and kind, as well as extremely spontaneous. She cares for others and, along with Diego Soto, is shown to be very concerned for [spoiler]the group that went to the La Huerta observatory[/spoiler]. Similar to Grace Hall, she is rarely shown losing her temper or getting furious, and in the few instances she has, it has been out of righteous anger. She has a clear fondness for baking, wishing to open a bakery called "For Goodness Cake" dedicated solely to selling cupcakes.

[spoiler]When Quinn was four years old, she was diagnosed with a rare, incurable illness known as Rotterdam's Syndrome. Rotterdam's Syndrome is extremely rare, affecting only 0.01% of the world's population; symptoms of the illness include tremors, seizures, respiratory problems, and eventually, death.

The condition deferred her ability to enjoy her childhood, bankrupting her family and driving her parents apart. One day, Quinn's father spent the remainder of his savings to sign Quinn up for an experimental drug treatment in a last-ditch effort to treat her Rotterdam's. The treatment was successful and Quinn could finally live her life the way she wanted, going through high school and becoming a college student. However, the cure turned out to be temporary, with Quinn admitting the disease eventually came back shortly before her trip to La Huerta.[/spoiler]

[spoiler]Once she is cured through the Island's Heart, Quinn comments that she feels renewed at no longer being the "Dying Girl," as it was the identity that had defined her all of her life.[/spoiler]
