In addition, those unbeknown to the public who banish and control these spirits also exist. These individuals are called "Exorcists" by those aware of their existence. What society usually refers to when referring to "Exorcists" are the clergy responsible for mundane exorcisms, but in reality there exist evil spirits who can physically harm humans as well as clergy who fight these spirits. When referring to these clergy who fight evil spirits, it is logical to refer to them as "True Exorcists". Kiyoharu is one of these "True Exorcists". He possesses powerful exorcism techniques different from his peers, these techniques are called "Holy techniques". The flood of people seeking help from Kiyoharu to acquire his skills is unending, Kiyoharu is now a well-known entity in the world of the "True Exorcists". However his "True Exorcist" identity is his hidden aspect. His public facade is that of a mundane priest. An academy nurturing the next generation of clergy "Saint Marianne Girls' Academy" is next door to the church where Kiyoharu lives. Attending this academy is the pure and innocent Hinata who boasts the ability of prophecy with astonishingly high accuracy. Hinata's best friend is the half-Japanese girl Lily who aspires to be an outstanding member of the clergy comparable to both of her parents. The Academy Representative Saki is slightly overprotective and bears the trust of the entire student body on her shoulders. The story involving Kiyoharu and engulfing the girls he is close to now begins. His church is located a short distance from the academy grounds. In public he is well-respected by both students and staff members for his serious manner and acute sense of responsibility. He is also famous as an exorcist without peer. He is usually referred cases of women possessed by evil spirits of a lustful nature which the regular exorcists cannot handle. Despite his success and fame, he refuses all candidates who wish to acknowledge him as Master and learn under his tutelage. [Spoiler] The source of his exorcism ability is the contract made between one of his ancestors and the Demon Nia. In exchange for Nia's oath not to attack humans for their souls, the Fujiwara family would provide her with a steady source of nourishment in the form of exorcised evil spirits. Although less effective than human souls, the sheer quantity makes up for difference in quality. The contract is passed down through the Fujiwara bloodline and since it requires the exorcist to exercise his powers through sexual copulation Kiyoharu is extremely reluctant and evasive when he's pressed upon this issue by Lily and other aspiring disciples. [/spoiler] Having lived alone for much of his professional life, he's capable of maintaining his own household and keeping his dual life a secret. Because his usual "clients" tend to have lost their reason when possessed, he is conflicted when he's forced to use his exorcism powers against three students he is close to and who retain awareness of the experience throughout. - **Gender:** Male - **Engages in:** Cooking - **Role:** Teacher, Exorcist, Christian Priest - **Clothes:** Cassock - **Personality:** Serious ### Amahoshi Lily (天星 リリィ) Hinata's best friend and classmate. She is half-Japanese with both of her parents hailing from outside Japan. Her mixed parentage explains her striking appearance and physique marking her out from her classmates. Her emotions show easily and she's frequently teased by Nia for comic effect. Because both of her parents are active True Exorcists, Lily was inspired by their example and way of life and enrolled at the Academy in hopes of becoming a respected and capable Exorcist just like them. As such, she is aware of Kiyoharu's other occupation and persistently asks to be his disciple each time they meet (she doesn't hide this from her best friend Hinata either). Hinata's tendency to let slip things which shouldn't normally be said in public forces Lily to keep an eye on her in order to keep a lid on her excesses. [Spoiler] Her parents spend most of their time outside of Japan because of work so she's had to be independent since young and is extremely skilled at the traditional feminine skills of cooking and sewing. Although the family income isn't low, her parents are extremely charitable and leave little behind for the household. Lily's manner of speech is an affected one and put on from watching shows. Depending on player choices, Lily either succeeds in exorcising the evil spirits using Kiyoharu's techniques or fuses her soul with the evil spirits. In the former she discovers her gift of reinforcing the spiritual power of other exorcists through physical contact allowing Kiyoharu to perform regular exorcisms without using his bloodline's techniques. She is famous at the academy for the accuracy of her fortune telling and is never short of clients both inside and outside the Academy walls. Despite her natural born talents, she is always cheerful and is equally friendly to all which further adds to her popularity amongst her fellow students. Her fortune telling method relies on a standard pack of playing cards. If she wants a question answered, she will shuffle the deck and then draw a card at random. Depending on what she "sees", she usually has an answer to her question. If it's someone else who wants a question answered, she will shuffle the deck and ask the client to draw a card which she will then interpret. Her ability is surprisingly versatile and she can even use it to tell if someone is lying to her. [Spoiler] A scion of a clan famous for its spiritual powers, she was considered one of the strongest mediums ever born into the family. Unfortunately her powers made her easily susceptible to possession from malicious spiritual entities so she has considerable experience with exorcists which her family employed to help her. A big reason why she enrolled in the Academy was in hopes of developing a measure of control over her considerable gifts, however at the start of the story she has had little success to date. Nia surmises Hinata's fortune telling powers are her unconscious ability to call upon spirits of nature which briefly possess her allowing foresight into the future. The school board is aware of her talents and keeps other students with similar talents like hers on their student roll. Occasionally she's called upon by corporation CEOs on important business decisions. Depending on player decisions, Hinata either succeeds in ridding herself of the spirits which possess her and the others or her soul ends up fusing with the spirits. She helps avert the immediate crisis affecting the three students and then explains her position as the Fujiwara clan's guardian spirit and the fount of their exorcism powers. Having slept for decades within the crystal, she is the epitome of unbridled curiosity and doesn't hold back with her speech or her desires. She loves teasing Hinata and Lily in particular, but is easily flustered by praise. [Spoiler] Prior to her contract with the Fujiwara clan she was a demon who hunted humans for their souls to increase her powers. Eventually she met her match in Kiyoharu's ancestor but at the end of a decisive battle neither side had the strength to claim victory which led to the contract proposal. Each time the Fujiwara clan exorcises evil spirits through sex, these spirits are transferred to the crystal where they are eventually deconstructed into pure energy which Nia feeds on. On her part Nia can use the energy she receives to teach the Fujiwara exorcist new techniques or creates new "equipment" (usually sex toys) to better assist the Fujiwara exorcist with his work. Her magical abilities depend greatly on the amount of energy from evil spirits provided by the Fujiwaras. Her speciality is mind-control magic, but is capable of other feats like flight or body modification. She has knowledge of other fields of magic (like Hinata's seances) but isn't necessarily capable of executing them. It's later revealed in her route that Fujiwara Kiyoharu is the first member of his clan to treat her as a friend or lover. All of his forebears would have sex with her or receive her gifts but they saw her as a demon to be feared and kept their distance. Her true name is "Eternia Chaosblood". If Kiyoharu uses her true name he can command her to do whatever he likes. Despite this he has little intention of doing so and only appears to call her by that name when they're having sex. She is the Representative of the entire student body and is respected and admired for her ability to listen to and resolve the concerns of all students without prejudice. Although Kiyoharu values her assistance, she has a tendency to go overboard when someone is in need and has to be gently restrained before she goes out of control. Kiyoharu knows this and has learnt to gently bring her back to reality. Her request to see the totem of Kiyoharu's church as a reward for keeping watch on his behalf after one of his late night exorcisms is partly responsible for the events early on in the game. [Spoiler] Saki's drive to help others whatever the cost to herself stems from her childhood experience. A normal child with no special spiritual powers born into a family in charge of another church, she witnessed the good deeds of her parents but was frequently left in the care of her grandparents for long periods and was lonely as a result. Her drive to help others and the skills she acquired to serve others better are later diagnosed as her innate desire not to be hated by anyone; this causes problems later on during her route in the final stages of the exorcism cycle. Unlike her two juniors, she is the only one who doesn't have an alternate ending.
