From that point, I felt the bluebird in my life had flown away forever,
Never to return...

But...
When I grasped Al's warm hand again,
And saw his gentle smile once more,
I suddenly felt I was within the blue skies,
And saw a glimpse of the bluebird...

I have nothing more I can hope for...
I just wish... I just wish we can always be like this-
Wishing all this will never disappear...
I only wish that bluebird...

...won't be just another unattainable illusion.

In order to gain something, one must give something of the same value.
This is alchemy's first law of equivalent exchange.

The game is based on the manga storyline of Fullmetal Alchemist, but the plot is set 5 years after the failed transmutation of their mother and Ed has finally accomplished restoring his brother's body. Ed's life seems perfect with a happy life in Central, living with Al and being promoted to Colonel and secretary of the Fuhrer and with Roy as the new General. But life soon takes a new turn...

### Edward Elric (愛德華·艾爾利克)
Edward Elric is the protagonist of Hiromu Arakawa's manga "Fullmetal Alchemist" and the Visual Novel "Bluebird's Illusion".

He is the older brother of [url=/c32456]Alphonse Elric[/url].

After becoming accustomed to his new automail limbs, Edward spent time with Shou Tucker before taking the State Alchemy Exam and passing, making him the youngest State Alchemist in history at the age of twelve. ### Pride (普萊德)
Pride is the homunculus created from [url=/c32452]Edward Elric[/url]'s remains by "Father" (Van Hohenheim) in the Pride Ed ending. 

An alchemic reaction Edward created collapsed Hohenheim's lair, killing the boy in the process. Hohenheim believes that Edward was something more than human and gives him a "perfect, immortal life" as a homunculus, charging Envy as his new brother. He is given the name "Pride" because Hohenheim believed that Edward was finally the most suitable person to bear it. 

Pride seems to be devoid of a real personality because he cannot remember anything of his past self as Edward Elric.
