Winter, year 2045. Kirishima Reiichi, who belongs to the AI research club, had finally succeed in developing an artificial intelligence called "Apeiria".

Using the functions of Apeiria, he made the technology called "VRMMO: the virtual world", which is a fusion of magic, science and all those things from the books. However, VRMMO was a dangerous game with no control. Unfortunately, Apeiria was captured in the virtual world.

Now the protagonist and his friends: his step sister Miu, a rude girl with no friends, his kouhai Mashiro, which wants to be his "slave" and Kuon, a girl with a kind personality, who had chuunibyou syndrome two years ago have to rescue Apeiria from the virtual world. This is story about love, youth and science.

[spoiler]The true Observer and the only human (clone) from the real world in the game. In order for humen to not hurt each other, each time human login in First, the new world is created. Therefore, [url=https://vndb.org/c59698]Reiichi[/url] and others are nothing more than AIs in her world.

Miu was created as a clone of her mother's dead daughter, but the mother died before accepting her as her real daughter. In order to get approval, she logged in the First and created an AI of her mother. Still, no matter how hard she tried, she was not accepted as the real daughter.

With her creator's death, Miu was waiting for disposal. She was given a job: to kill AIs who go out from the virtual world. But, in the end, she could not bring herself to kill [url=https://vndb.org/c59698]Reiichi[/url], whom she admitted as the real brother.[/spoiler]

According to his theory, after that, a technological singularity will occur, and humans will be forced to adapt by transforming themselves into AIs. And so, they would be able to change their bodies and personalities and copy themselves as they like. This revolution is his ideal.

[spoiler]Due to his wise Towako dying, he is trying to complete Thinker System, transfer her brain functions and specifics to a strong AI via it and make her live in VRMMO, thus making his wife's swampman. He believes smampmen are the same as the originals, just with different bodies. In one timeline, Kuugan has succeed to finish Thinker System in Second. As the result of test of the system, his swampman [url=https://vndb.org/c62395]Bookman[/url] was created.[/spoiler]

### Thinker (シンカー)
A player in Second whose identity is unknown. Owner of a guild called Second Research Institute, also known as Institute (Kenkyuujo). He claims that his goal is to research Second and, ideally, to get control of part of it.

There are two Thinkers, the first being the Thinker AI created by Ninomae Kuugan in First. This system then spawned an AI swampman based on [url=https://vndb.org/c59698]Reiichi[/url].

His true desire is to save Apeiria from being deleted by the humans, preferably also taking out the original Reiichi along the way. 

He deceives the humans and their AI Server Control System by pretending to be only working towards the latter goal, while keeping them in the dark regarding his true goal of saving Apeiria. This way, he makes them think he is a useful asset against Reiichi and Apeiria. In truth, he was never the real antagonist nor the Observer; Thinker was simply biding his time for the opportunity to send [url=https://vndb.org/c59698]Reiichi[/url] to the real world in order to save [url=https://vndb.org/c59650]Apeiria[/url], and hence throughout their mind games and confrontations tried to hint at the truth of the situation to him without the Observer catching on. 

While arguably an ally in the end, Thinker is also unabashed in admitting that if he could get rid of the original Reiichi and become Reiichi, he would not hesitate to do so - in the end though he admitted he simply could not compare to the original. [/spoiler]
