## Description
This is a side-story in Rance series, released shortly after the fourth game, but dedicated to an entirely different quest. All kinds of troubles are happening to a factory where a new Happiness Medicine is being developed. The mercenary Rance is hired by the manager to investigate the source of these troubles. First task: clear the factory of the monsters...

This is a RPG with turn-based combat and strong adventure elements (menu with command verbs such as "Examine", "Talk", etc., at every given screen). Unlike the previous Rance games, the battles do not allow free movement on the screen, and are carried out in a more traditional Japanese-style way. There is no physical movement in the game; hostile areas (dungeons) are also explored by choosing menu commands. As in all other Rance games, there are explicit sex scenes in this game.

## Characters
### Rance (ランス)
A fearsome warrior known throughout the land, not just for his impressive battle skills but also for his shameless womanizing ways. While he's driven more by his primal instincts than noble ideals, his actions often result in unexpected heroism.

Even though he's rough around the edges, Rance often ends up doing good deeds on his many adventures, even if he doesn't intend to. His exploits are varied, including battling fearsome demons, standing against rival nations, and even helping out those in distress.
Unironically, Rance's disorderly conduct frequently lands him in hot water. His relentless chase of carnal indulgences tends to create more facepalm moments than applaudable ones, adding to his already infamous reputation.

On his frequent adventures, Rance is not a lone wolf. He is often accompanied by a cast of unique characters who add their own spice to the narrative. However, these companions, notably his enslaved romantic interest Sill Plain among others, often find themselves grappling with his audacious behavior. Despite the hurdles, this diverse crew manages to unite their skills, forming a solid team crucial to their shared escapades.

He became the manager of one of the main Labs of this monstruous company at the outstanding age of 13 years old, and was deemed as a genius boy with an amazing intellect. He's always been subject of praise and many claimed that he was fated for greatness and, upon becoming the Manager of the 1st Lab of the Company, he developed an overinflated ego that resulted in him becoming an incredibly obnoxious and unpleasant person. He's extremely arrogant and looks down on all his assistants, mocking their incompetence as he managed to become the Manager with his young age, while others that are in his forties work for him. The only people he respects are the President [url=/c97875]Doharas Happiness[/url], who he holds great respect for due to his genius invention of the Seirogan, and the Manager of the 2nd Lab [url=/c97893]Rose[/url], with who he developed a crush for and works hard to get her attention.

### Kisara Copley (キサラ・コプリ)
Kisara Copley is a notoriously talented adventurer from the Free Cities Alliance that took well-paid jobs of any kind. 

[spoiler]In the past, her parents ran a successful business on the Free Cities but through many misfortunes and deceptions from others, their company was soon left bankrupted and accumulated a massive debt over the years, reaching the absurd value of 4,000,000 GOLD. Filled with despair, her parents ended up hanging themselves and the debt was passed to their daughters. As a consequence for this, the creditors took Kisara's younger sister Rebecca Copley as payment, resulting in her becoming a Fukuman prostitute working for Pluepet. In order to pay the debt and free her sister from slavery, Kisara became an adventurer as means to acquire the financial support. However, despite being a fairly talented individual with solid fighting ability and skilled for adventuring, she found herself regularly deceived and tricked by those she trusted several times, resulting in her never being able to gather the money needed to pay the debt.[/spoiler]

### Kontama (コンタマ)
Kontama is a pretty average employee that works in the Factory of the Happiness Pharmaceutical Company, not in the Drug Developments Laboratories, but in the manufacture and packaging sections in the factory.

Due to the attacks the company suffered from the monsters that came from a Dungeon below the Factory, the building was temporarily closed and sealed off. Kontama was one of the workers that remained in the building, as he was in charge of keeping an eye out to the Gate that sealed the entrance to the Monsters to prevent anyone from entering or monsters from leaving. He operated a machine to open the gate for the Adventurers hired by the company to exterminate the beasts, and they would ring a bell from the inside whenever they intended to come out, since said gate can only be opened by Kontama from his side.

She has a quite timid personality due to a lack of self-confidence, stemming from chronic insecurity over her appearance. Despite her natural beauty, for some reason she believes herself to be plain and unattractive, and she is surprised and embarrassed when Rance lavishes her with compliments. She gets along well with her subordinates in the Second Laboratory as well as her boss, [url=/c97875]Doharas Happiness[/url]. She has a cordial relationship with Joseph, who secretly has a crush on her, and is one of the few people he respects.

Summon-chan is a Rare Gal Monster that works under Archibald for the extremist Monster Protectionists Group, the Angel Army. Being of the Rare type, means she's the only Summon-chan Gal Monster in the world, an extremely rare one of a kind type that is only born once. Due to this, she has the unique and terrifying ability of summoning other monsters at will by using special magic of her own.

### Pluepet (プルーペット)
Pluepet is a talented merchant born in the free city of Portugal in GI980. He travels to all sorts of places as a travelling merchant selling rare goods. He appeared in most Rance games after the 4.x games, and also made appearances in Toushin Toshi games. 

He's a strange green creature that travels around in something that resembles a spaceship. His race is unknown but he's probably some rare type of monster. Personality-wise, he's a businessman. He's a very skilled and clever individual that knows how to trade, but he's also very cruel and cold, showing no interest in everything outside of selling his goods and making money. He completely lacks morality and will do whatever he considers will bring the best earning, regardless if it's selling drugs, slaves or innocent girls as prostitutes. He simply sees everything around him as a means to trade and increase profits, and is perfectly fine with helping people as well if he thinks it will be profitable.

Sill is a slave purchased by the great adventurer [url=/c735]Rance[/url] in the year LP0001 prior to the events of Rance 01. Rance purchased her for 15,000 GOLD and has been forced to travel alongside him wherever he goes since then. However, Sill developed strong romantic feelings for him and, even though the "Absolute Obedience Magic" once cast on her has long since worn off, she remains single-mindedly loyal to Rance regardless. She was originally from a rich family in Zeth but under "certain circumstances" ended up in the slave market sold to Rance. 

She is capable of using both offensive and healing magic, in addition to the creation of magic barriers. She is also known to have a large knowledge of worldly culture and history, as well as an understanding of many creatures. This is apparently due to her studying from a wide variety of books at a young age due to her origins from a noble family.
