## Description
Following the events of Rance III, Rance is sent to Ylapu, a giant island floating above Leazas. There, Rance must find a way to return to The Continent's surface, while being hindered by agents from Helman who are attempting to revive and control the Wargod Upsilon, an ancient superweapon created by the Holy Magic Sect.

## Characters
### Rance (ランス)
A fearsome warrior known throughout the land, not just for his impressive battle skills but also for his shameless womanizing ways. While he's driven more by his primal instincts than noble ideals, his actions often result in unexpected heroism.

Even though he's rough around the edges, Rance often ends up doing good deeds on his many adventures, even if he doesn't intend to. His exploits are varied, including battling fearsome demons, standing against rival nations, and even helping out those in distress.
Unironically, Rance's disorderly conduct frequently lands him in hot water. His relentless chase of carnal indulgences tends to create more facepalm moments than applaudable ones, adding to his already infamous reputation.

On his frequent adventures, Rance is not a lone wolf. He is often accompanied by a cast of unique characters who add their own spice to the narrative. However, these companions, notably his enslaved romantic interest Sill Plain among others, often find themselves grappling with his audacious behavior. Despite the hurdles, this diverse crew manages to unite their skills, forming a solid team crucial to their shared escapades.

Bitch Golch is an individual from a prestigious family from Helman and one of its most important political figures, being a member of the Council of Eight. Despite this, he only got to this position due to his family's influence, by trickery and cheating. ### Kentou Kanami (見当 かなみ)
One of [url=/c11980]Lia's[/url] personal ninjas, she does all the dirty or secret jobs that Lia orders her to do. While seemingly apathetic from the outside, Kanami is actually very concerned with her ability as a ninja. It's implied that she is always training by herself to hone her skills. Leila is the leader of the Royal Guards of Leazas, entirely composed of female soldiers. 
Leila is an elite fighter. She won the female division of swordsmanship championships of Leazas at the age of 14, and won 7 following consecutive years. She used to consider allowing only strong men to sleep with her, and has had sex with her sword master Jiba at age of 16 and warrior named Kobayashi at age of 20. However, ever since she realized her feelings towards [url=/c14826]Rick[/url], she has been restraining herself. She's also encouraged others to confess before, saying that they have to take the chance now that they are young.

She's usually very depressed after losing and drowns her sorrows in alcohol. She likes drinking but only takes it too far when she's depressed. When she's drunk she tends to do things that normally would embarrass her, but luckily she forgets everything the following day.

### Maria Custard (マリア・カスタード)
One of the Four Witches of Kathtom who Rance saved during the events of Rance II. Maria was an apprentice under Ragishss, specializing in water magic. However, she lost almost all of her magical abilities after Rance took her virginity. Despite this, she compensates with her technical skills.

She's the brains behind the Tulip series of weapons and is keenly interested in firearms development. Her tireless work has propelled Kathtom to the forefront of technology on the Continent, with her inventions playing pivotal roles in conflicts such as Leazas' liberation.

She is also a close friend to her fellow witch, Masou Shizuka, as they were studying magic together and being taught by the same person, Ragishss.

### Masou Shizuka (魔想 志津香)
A powerful magic user who was one of the Four Witches of Kathtom. According to her teacher, Ragishss, Shizuka had the greatest talent of the four and was considered the strongest among his students. 

[spoiler]With the additional power gained from her ring, she became even stronger than [url=/c56542]Ragishss Cryhausen[/url], whom she ended up killing during her betrayal. She is very concerned with her father's death. Ever since [url=/c735]Rance[/url] stopped her from altering the past during the events of the Kathtom Incident, she has been trying to find her father's killer in order to seek revenge.[/spoiler]

Despite the fact that Shizuka is one of ten girls who are fated for Rance, she hates Rance and will always try to kick him away whenever possible. But it appears that she still have some kind of soft spot for him, albeit often misused by the latter.

She was living with her best friend, [url=/c14679]Maria[/url], as they were studying magic together and had a similar interest in magic, with Maria being on development side, and Shizuka on the research side.

### Merim Tser (メリム・ツェール)
Merim Tser is the younger daughter of the Tser family and the long-lost little sister of Captain Ruberan. Born into a poor household in the economically unstable Helman Empire, her parents were unable to sustain the entire family and Merim was eventually sold as a slave to the Aristocratic Golch Family, being separated from her older sister as a result. As the personal slave of [url=/c97641]Bitch Golch[/url], Merim experienced a great deal of abuse and mistreatment. She was used to serve him and his family as a maid, a sexual outlet, and experienced heavy torture due to the family's sadism (who often enjoyed whipping her).

Despite all the horrible things she went through with the Golch Family, she was given the opportunity to study and learn a lot about archeology, history, and mechanics. This lead to her becoming a great explorer and archaeologist due to her natural talent and enthusiasm for learning.

Rick Addison is the commander of the Leazas Red Corps.
He's the strongest Swordsman in Leazas, one of the strongest people on the continent and is known across the land for his fearful strength, he has been nicknamed the "Red Death of Leazas" by his enemies.
The kanji 忠 written on his helmet means "loyalty". Underneath that helmet is a surprisingly boyish and shy face.

### Sill Plain (シィル・プライン)
Sill is a slave purchased by the great adventurer [url=/c735]Rance[/url] in the year LP0001 prior to the events of Rance 01. Rance purchased her for 15,000 GOLD and has been forced to travel alongside him wherever he goes since then. However, Sill developed strong romantic feelings for him and, even though the "Absolute Obedience Magic" once cast on her has long since worn off, she remains single-mindedly loyal to Rance regardless. She was originally from a rich family in Zeth but under "certain circumstances" ended up in the slave market sold to Rance. 

She is capable of using both offensive and healing magic, in addition to the creation of magic barriers. She is also known to have a large knowledge of worldly culture and history, as well as an understanding of many creatures. This is apparently due to her studying from a wide variety of books at a young age due to her origins from a noble family.

Alicia is a priestess from Toushin City born on the floating island of Ylapu. She's the younger twin sister of [url=/c97639]Cynthia[/url], and the two are part of the small Younashi Church that formed on the Toushin Toshi. 

Alicia is nowhere near as devoted as Cynthia is to the God Younashi and her sister considers her a delinquent. The two don't get along well but they still seem to hold some affection for the other.

Atlanta is a mage and is skilled with many curses and spells. Her most iconic curse is the one that traps her opponent in a Mirror and divides it into several fragments. Those trapped in it cannot get out and their only hope is that someone else finds all the mirror pieces. Once they are all gathered and put together, the victim will be released immediately. 

[spoiler]Atlanta is an Apostle of Lexington first (chronologically) seen in Rance IV and later seen in every iteration of the Toushin Toshi series up to date. She's travelling all over The Continent carrying the Demonic Blood Soul of her master searching for a way to bring him back, but she's not very competent, since she's spent a few centuries with no success.[/spoiler]

Dens Blau is a common soldier of the Helman 2nd Army who serves as a member of [url=/c97641]Bitch Golch[/url]'s exploration party on the floating city of Ylapu in Rance IV. The team is tasked gaining control of the floating island in order for it to be used as a weapon by the militaristic nation.

The Hanny King is the king and father of the Haniwa race. He is universally loved by all Hannies and has his own religion called the Haniwa Temple, which almost all the members of the race are part of. He also has a dedicated fan club formed by many Haniko, which is expected from the Hanny King. He looks like a regular Hanny but is white and wears a crown and a red cape, portraying his status as the King.

Despite his weird appearance, he's mostly a noble and wise individual. Hunty Kalar is the oldest living Kalar, and the only one with black hair.

[spoiler]Hunty is an individual of legendary status that is reknown in history since her assistance in the assassination of M.M Rune. Along with Freak Paraffin, she's been in Helman since before its foundation and was a member of the council of eight.

She's also pretty much the most powerful mage in the human realm, being one of the few beings with a Lv3 skill in magic. During her stay in Helman, she met Thoma Lipton, Helman's strongest soldier, and Paelina, at the time the emperor newest concubine. Hunty and Paelina became friends rather quickly. However, after Paelina's sudden death, Hunty promised to take care of her son, "Patton" and turn him into a great man.

With the passing of time a special relationship started to be formed between Patton and Hunty, one that would later become love. She helped the rebellion in Helman, hoping to turn Patton into the new emperor.[/spoiler]
