### Ayame Kushinada
The daughter of the chieftain of Yamato Island. Being descended from the protagonist of Destiny Ninja, she inherited the ability to wield the Three Sacred Treasures.

She goes on a journey around Yamato Island to purify the symbols of the four seasons, which are cursed, using the Sword of the Gathering Clouds of Heaven.

Ayu is the son of the Spring Village chieftain. His ancestor is Kazemasa from the Wind Village.
Ayu is a quiet and reserved person who does not express his feelings. Coming from the famous Hattori family, Ayu is expected to be a successful ninja by many of his relatives.
Although he is a highly talented ninja, Ayu does not appreciate his being associated with his family background; it is the very reason why he resigned from being appointed to be the next chieftain.

Yayoi is the one to whom Ayu opens up, for he has known Yayoi since he was a child. Kaito, despite of having similar background, has a a different personality and Ayu is envious of Kaito for that reason.

A genius fire-wielding ninja who surpasses his ancestor

Kaito is the only son of the Summer Village chieftain. His ancestor is Enya from the Fire Village. He has an innate ability of wielding fire, and is regarded as a second Enya by the villagers. However, as a genius ninja, he is not happy to be "playing second."
He feels a strong sense of rivalry with the big cities, Spring Village and Fall Village, where villagers look down on his village as "the countryside;" however, their ninja skills are actually on an equal footing.

He doesn't get along with Kikyo.

A skillful samurai who aspires to become next chieftain

Kikyo is the only son of the Autumn Village chieftain. His ancestor is the foreign prince, Goyo. He doesn't have any innate abilities of wielding wind, fire, or water. Since the Autumn Village holds a power-centered philosophy, his lack of inborn ability leads him to daily hard training to become the next chieftain. He has a sense of inferiority and rivalry against other ninjas.

When he was little, he was fascinated by a samurai warrior that he had read about in a book, and he chose to become a samurai instead of a ninja. Although he is a samurai, he is also a well-respected leader of the ninja team in the Autumn Village called the White Tiger School.

Ran is the son of the Winter Village chieftain. His ancestor is Mizuki from the Water Village.
Due to being born with different colors in each eye, he has been called a devil child, following the tradition of the Winter Village that ones born with different colored eyes will bring disaster. He is hardly given an opportunity to leave his village other than for work.
It is part of the reason why he is not to be the next chieftain of the Winter Village despite being a direct descendant of Mizuki.

Ran trusts his younger brother, Fuyukiku, and is proud of him. He never shows to anyone that he actually feels inferior to him, though.

Rindoh is a ninja from the Autumn Village's ninja team called the White Tiger School. His ancestor is Benkei Musashibo, a monk-soldier, who was the first retainer of Yoshitsune Minamoto.

Possessing very high fighting skills and respected by his teammates, he deserves to be a leader of the White Tigers. However, he likes being an assistant or an advisor most of the time, saying that "he's not the type to be a leader."

He looks out for Kikyo, who is also a descendant of a ninja, just like him.

Although people rely on Rindoh, it is rare for him to rely on anyone, which makes his inner feelings hard to grasp.

Shiroya is a member of the ninja team in the Summer Village called the Vermilion Bird School. His ancestor is Hyuga from the Fire Village.
Because his abilities as a Vermilion Bird ninja started to develop later than the others, he was put through severe training in a hidden village within the Summer Village when he was little. Now he has grown to be an excellent ninja in a position somewhat like a partner to Kaito.
His strength is his skills with the bow and arrow, just like his ancestor.

Currently, he stays with the head of the Summer Village's family.

Akira is his lifelong friend whereas Ibuki became he friend when he came to Hokuto Island.
