A good programmer. Through his connections, he was requested to assist with the SHEEPIII project. Using the aforementioned connections, he was able to obtain a ticket for the particular underwater voyage. [i]Little did he know, to which nightmare his actions would lead...[/i] [spoiler]The protagonist has fabricated his true identity, because it would be useful for infiltration into SHEEPIII. His real name is [b]Katagiri Hitoha[/b], and he has two objectives. The first one is to get to know the truth about the SHEEP tragedy seven years ago, which claimed the life of his sister, Hitose. The second one is to alter the course of the SHEEPIII incident, which is about to occur and in which only him and [url=https://vndb.org/c61550]Momoi Yukari[/url] will survive. The incident itself was caused by him, as he hacked the SHEEPIII's systems and rewrote its program. He estimated that it would give him an opportunity to obtain information from its computers. Nevertheless, he was unaware of the horrific creatures on the sea floor and the measures ROMLES had taken to contain them. Because of this, even though Hitoha's simulation indicated that his strategy would succeed, reality turned out to be entirely different. First off, he could only hack the submarine systems thanks to [url=https://vndb.org/c111528]Nomura Reiri[/url]'s backdoor. Second, due to the quick sinking of the submarine, ozone exploded, the back section's top two floors were flooded, and various other damage was sustained. Third, there was a COOS in the water near the sea floor and sea creatures were infected by it. When Hitoha's parents died, he left only his cheerful and kind older sister, Hitose. She replaced him a mother and genuinely cared about him. After some time, she enrolled in graduate school and immediately began working for ROMLES. Seven years ago, Hitose went on an underwater expedition of SHEEP and died of an undisclosed cause. After that, the protagonist lived only to know the cause of her death. Using the business card of the person who came to him from ROMLES to extend their condolences, he got access to the ROMLES system development department. Yukari applied to become the chief tour guide of SHEEPIII's underwater voyage. She is at the highest position of the submarine staff and may be referred to as the submarine captain, although there is no such exact position in the SHEEPIII, as it is managed by AI on autopilot. She has information, albeit limited, of the horrific dangers that SHEEPIII will face underwater. [i]Yet little did she know, that impending nightmare could be stopped no more...[/i] [spoiler]Seven years ago, Yukari managed to survive SHEEP's tragic underwater mission with the primary objective of recovering COOS cases that were lost in Kurama Bay during the "Forth Day" incident. She has no qualms about utilizing others to achieve her goals. Nevertheless, her desire to keep [url=https://vndb.org/c61547]her sister[/url] safe is strong and genuine. Reiri got a ticket on this particular voyage due to being a person related to the project. She is a talented programmer and is the one who wrote SHEEPIII's core systems. Using her connections, she also obtained a ticket for her sister, [url=https://vndb.org/c61547]Touri[/url], who had expressed interest in joining the voyage. The true goal of Reiri is to control the COOS network and thus obtain an "oracle." With the use of it, she could get unique data about outer space. There is a method to manage the COOS network—to suppress it with the use of the Alice virus. An eccentric and upright person who believes that lying is wrong and that all living creatures are equal and should not be killed lightly. Her father's upbringing is what caused her to turn out this way. Her main interest is sea creatures. Tokiwa got a ticket to SHEEPIII's underwater voyage some time after telling her father that she was interested in going. It was the first time she observed sea creatures in their natural habitat with her own eyes. [i]Little did she know, to which nightmare her interest would lead...[/i] [spoiler]It was she who offered a solution to the problem of isolating sea creatures in a certain area without hurting them by utilizing a technique based on bubble-net feeding. Because of that, ROMLES was able to minimize the harm caused by the COOS spill in Kurama Gulf, although unbeknownst to her, they used an ozone to trap infected creatures. In truth, seven years ago, prior to the "Forth Day" incident, she was infected with the Alice virus by her sister [url=https://vndb.org/c61548]Rumi[/url].
