## Description
The nightmare has returned five years after the events of Corpse Party: Blood Drive with an average junior high school student, Ayame Itou, suddenly finding her life turned upside down in the most unsettling way possible. Upon waking from a coma strapped to an operating table in a ransacked and seemingly abandoned hospital called “Amare Patriarcha Crucis,” Ayame realizes she’s locked in without any means of escape and with virtually no memories of her past. She is, however, not quite as alone as she first thought. Others occupy the mysterious hospital, but whether they are friend or foe remains to be discovered. Remains to be discovered…

Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient takes players on a dark and mysterious journey with Ayame and any other friendly faces she can find. Through the deserted halls of Amare Patriarcha Crucis, the party will solve inventory-based puzzles, collect medical charts of deceased patients, and avoid terrifying zombie-like pursuers in order to find much-needed answers, as well as—hopefully—a way out. Titled Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient NEUES in Japan, Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient is the definitive version of Dead Patient with updated graphics and additional scenarios. Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient exists as a standalone story within the Corpse Party series, allowing players to jump in regardless of their experience with past titles.

### Itou Ayame (伊藤 あやめ)
Ayame is the main protagonist of Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient and a student at Minazuki Academy High School's class 1-5. Having lost her memories, Ayame does not know her own name nor the faces of her friends. Whenever she gets scared, she will let out an odd, squeaky scream. Ayame may have had bad experiences with horror films and haunted houses in her past because she responds poorly to scary situations. In the first chapter, Ayame woke up lying down on an operating table. She has no idea of who she is or why she's there.

His transfer to a middle-of-nowhere land with no community to speak of has affected his maturation to adulthood. Masato attended his third year in elementary school in the same class as Ayame and Chiyomi where they got along well.

Although generally not one to participate in events, his fondness for [url=/c6499]Satoshi[/url] and [url=/c6502]Ayumi[/url] means he'll make an exception now and again if either is involved.
With intense drama at home, Yoshiki currently works part-time after school to afford rent on a small apartment, where he lives alone.

He also has a younger sister, Miki, who takes care of him from time to time and seems to be the only person who can understand his situation.

[spoiler]After the events of Blood Drive, both Yoshiki and Ayumi lose their memories about their friends, while their friends lose their memories of them, as if the two never really existed. Yoshiki is now taking care of Ayumi after she absorbed the Nirvana into herself.[/spoiler]

She cares for Kou Kibiki, while seen as a mentor and student relationship she would see it as a father-and-daughter relationship but to extreme cases, lovers.

It's generally believed she carries candles and other 'horror goods' with her at all times, just in case an opportunity presents itself to use them.
In truth, however, Ayumi wears this reputation as a mask to hide her own fear of the unknown, which rivals [url=/c6499]Satoshi[/url]'s in its intensity.
When faced with any truly scary situation, her knees give out and panic sets in. Only her personal pride can break her out of this fear-induced state.

[spoiler]In Blood Drive, she begins to obsess over reviving her dead friends, and goes back to Heavenly Host to achieve her goal. Sachiko's spirit, attached to Ayumi guides her to realize that the Book of Shadows was inside her all along, and so becomes its new master. Unfortunately at the end, her existence, along with Yoshiki's is erased in order to bring back the memories of their dead friends when she absorbs the Nehan into herself.[/spoiler]
