## Description
Sakura Dormitory is a dorm of the high school affiliated with Suimei University of the Arts (often shortened as Suiko), which hosts the strangest, trouble-making students. After being kicked out of the normal dorm for keeping a stray cat, [Kanda Sorata](/c25971) moves into Sakura Dormitory. As he starts to get used to the life in the dorm, [Shiina Mashiro](/c25927), a world famous artist who cannot even take care of her daily life, moves in. Sorata is forced to become Mashiro's handler. The story is about their daily life as well as mental growth.

## Characters
### Kanda Sorata (神田 空太)
Sorata is the male protagonist of the story. He is a second-year student of Suiko, who lives in room 101 of Sakurasou Dormitory. He was kicked out of the standard school dorm after he chose not to throw away a stray cat he picked up. 

As many of the Sakurasou Dormitory residents have outstanding grades and art skills, he often feels plain and normal among them. He is chosen by Chihiro to take care of Mashiro's daily life, although he resists at first, but he ends up getting used to it. Sorata used to play soccer in elementary and junior high, but he quit because he lost his passion for it.

Sorata has proven to be kind-hearted to a fault. He has a habit of not being able to turn away from abandoned cats and always ends up taking them home. So far, he has picked up 7 cats; namely Hikari, Nozomi, Kodama, Tsubasa, Komachi, Aoba, Asahi. This has resulted in Sorata being kicked out of standard dorms which do not tolerate pets.

Ryoonusuke is a resident of room 102. He is a second-year student of Suiko. He is a recluse who rarely leaves his room, and usually communicates with others with cellphone messages or e-mails. To reduce the need to communicate with others, he programmed an AI program, "Maid".

Nanami is Sorata's classmate, who later moves into Sakura Dormitory's room 203. Although she is harsh to Sorata, she actually has a crush on him, and everyone aside from Sorata has noticed this.

She left her home to become a voice actress without her parents' consent, and has to live on her own. After she finds herself low on money, as well as noticing that Sorata and Mashiro are becoming close, she chooses to move into Sakura Dormitory. She speaks with a Kansai dialect when she is angry or flustered.

### Kamiigusa Misaki (上井草 美咲)
Misaki is the resident of room 201. Misaki is a third-year-student of Suiko who later attends Suimei University of the Arts. 

She is very outgoing and optimistic. Sorata often refers to her as an "alien". She has very good grades and is very good at drawing, but the school decided to send her to Sakurasou Dormitory because she pays too much attention on drawing anime and manga. She is very good at making animation and can handle most work in making one without help from others. She has already sold an animation to a famous publishing company and made enough of a fortune for the rest of her life. 

She has feelings for Jin, and acts very open to express her feelings, but Jin turns a blind eye to this and dates many other girls, which can make her very depressed. Even at one point, Jin decided to date Misaki's older sister, Fuuka, instead of Misaki.

### Shiina Mashiro (椎名 ましろ)
Mashiro is the main heroine and resides in Room 202 of the Sakura Dormitory. 

Mashiro is a world famous artist who transferred into Suiko as a second-year to learn how to draw manga. Although her artworks are widely admired by the world in spite of her young age, she knows little to nothing other than drawing and is extremely reliant on others just to get by, lacking even the most basic common sense. As a result, Sorata is forced to constantly take care of Mashiro, to the point that he even has to pick out underwear for her, or she will go out without them. 

She has very bad grades, since she cannot pay attention to the class, but she can still pass the make-up exams by remembering all of the answers with her art talent.
